Causing too many accidents and injuries and banned completely from the City.
Common sense outbreak in Australia.

if they had not the E word in their name they,d have been banned here at the outset. its not just on the pavements that they are a hazard as only recently there was a fire in a house by charging them up at night that could have spread to a property next door.

When I lived up Throston you could hire one from opposite the shops where Tesco is, are they still available to hire in the town ?

They are motor scooters so should not be allowed on the path (same as a motor bike). The fact the engine is electric rather than combustion engine makes no difference.

I believe the phrase used is ‘mechanically propelled’…therefore the user should hold a licence, it should be insured, it should have a registration plate and the driver wears a crash helmet.
One the bikes came down the prom near Newburn Bridge early last weekend doing over thirty and the traditional ski mask, heading for Seaton.

I call them Chav Chariots, they should indeed be banned as they're a fucking menace!

If you clipped one in your car, it would be you that would be held responsible, regardless of how much it wasn't your fault - properly boils my piss!

years ago you could buy petrol powered scooters that were no quicker but you would have been pushed getting one a few hundred yards before the police stopped you and took it off you.
