Gone on loan to Whitby till January. https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/camp ... y-on-loan/

Makes perfect sense - we're not short of a centre back at the minute and he can be recalled if necessary. The Gary Liddle connection will be good for him too.

More evidence that our club is being managed in a thoroughly professional manner as far as on-field matters are concerned.

Raise his standard and keep him match fit. No brainer.

Last season Mr Horden and I attended a couple of Academy games up at Durham, at one we spoke to a scout for the Scottish youth team who was running the rule over young Campbell, he had a good game so hopefully impressed him.

Thought he looked brightest of the young uns that got some game time towards the back end of last season. Probably would struggle to get much game time in the next few months and with no reserve team it should benefit everyone.

I noticed Nathan Thomas was playing for whitby last night. His career never really panned out well.

It seems he always thought the grass was greener throughout his career, shame because he had talent and speed to burn. Scored some memorable goals for us.

He did well for us under Craig Hignett, who was a decent man manager if not much of a coach. Didn't want to play for Dave Jones but then, who did?

Think he played more matches and scored more goals for us than he has at any other club in his career. Must have been to nearly a dozen clubs since leaving us including loans when he was at Sheff Utd.
