Does anyone know what happened to the skinhead denim wearing yakka bloke who followed Pools everywhere in 90s and later sctatchinghead He was around 40 yr old and would now be around 65 sctatchinghead He wore a old blue n white scarf tied around his neck and always loved a bevvy or two. He used to stand in the townend and would be seen at away games mainly alone. He seemed to know a lot of Poolies and was a really nice bloke.

Sounds like the bloke who used to go away with the Engineers lads about 23 odd years ago.
Forgotten his name.
Will ask our kid!

Maybe he does now and that's why you don't recognise him.

On the subject of Hartlepool folk. I have often wondered what happened to Kenny Bottles. For those of you of a certain age Kenny would visit peoples houses and ask for lemonade bottles which he would cash in at certain shops. I believe he lived in the Easington Road area. As kids we would shout the words rather crudely Kenny Bottles because he used to rotate his neck like a chicken.

Can confirm Murton Les n Olly are 2 different Poolies.
Both regulars at away games in 80,s n 90s.
Les used to knock about with Big Ted/ Spenner.
I'm sure quite a few remember them from thar era.
The good old days.
Last time I seen Spenner was unfortunately at Mick Kelly's funeral about 4 years ago.
Anutha loyal Poolie gone to the town end in the Sky.
UTP.

Ted was part of our 5 man crew for away games for years along with Alan Willoughby. I know he went to South America for a few years but returned back to Hartlepool. Always stands in the middle of the townend with his lass but not seen him in a couple of years now and he is not hard to see.

Kenny ‘Bottles’ Robinson actually lived on Lime Crescent. He was mentally handicapped but harmless, scared the shit out of me as a kid. last I heard he was in a nursing home next to the General Hospital. He did indeed visit peoples houses but rarely knocked. We lived on Cedar Walk and I remember finding him in our kitchen a couple of times raking about under the sink panning for bottles.

if he’s still alive he’ll be late 70’s by now.
