We won a friendly 2-1. Lets not get carried away. If by the end of October we are close to the top of the NL, it might be time to be cautiously optimistic. Just for the avoidance of doubt, I am not having a go because there is nowt wrong with a biit of optimism. Its just that I'm a cynical old barsteward.

apart from getting rid of the deadwood are we that much better than we were at this time 12 months ago. we were top by the end of august last year till the shit hit the fan but its where we,ll be at the end of next april that will count. roll on august 17th till i can see for myself if being optimistic is worth it.
