I wonder how much Ronnie Moores opinion was taken, interesting Phillips said he hadn’t spoken to him, and doubt Ronnie was impressed with what he was seeing or the explanations for it

If he does then the rumours that he was negotiating other offers will appear to be right and will at least be resurrected.
He is entitled to do this of course. If his contract expired last Saturday he then became a free agent. He has to look after himself and his family.
It's gone now and we can but move on.

Moore is old school and sorry to say Phillips came across as cliche man, with not much philosophy or coherence underneath it…maybe he gets another job does well and proves himself who knows

and like all times even in my favourite 40,s there was some right crap as well. however the worst from both those era,s are well above todays tripe and the artists who record it.

I seriously doubt whether Ronnie Moore's opinion was even asked for, Ronnie has been signed as a SCOUT, nothing more nothing less, a SCOUT. I'd be surprised if Moore has been back to the actual club or training ground other than to maybe sign papers as a SCOUT. He probably hasn't even been to any of our own games since signing because his job is to go and watch other games as a SCOUT and recommend any players he likes to Pools. He's a SCOUT, that's it just a SCOUT.

I don't disagree with you there at all, some of our performances under him were shocking, tactics after going a goal up were disgusting, sitting back within minutes of taking a lead were rarely gonna work. Glad he's gone personally, just don't understand why so many people across all forums seem to think Ronnie Moore would have so much influence as a bleed ing SCOUT

i would not be surprised if we have other scouts, some paid, some just getting expenses if they ask who also scout for us and will never set foot into the vic. even back in the pre internet days there were still land lines about and a pen and paper. seems obvious when clubs start signing players from a new area they have someone scouting down there.
