We were outplayed in 2 thirds of the pitch against Gateshead, they got to the edge of the box and created virtually nothing. We won due to a great defensive performance (we actually were better defensively with 10 men) and a great breakaway late goal.

Yet a lot of fans believe we have a chance of gaining an extra 30 points next season and winning the league. Its never going to happen unless serious investment is somehow brought into the club. I think the point being made though is we have been utter shite against the top 7. Lets stop making excuses for this team this year. We will soon find out what gateshead are like in the return fixture. We got lucky that day against them and if we did that every week we would be happy. Im more concerned with the fact in the last 2 and a half games we have gone back to looking pathetically weak again, thats more of a concern than beating the top 7.

another big concern is out inability to play two good halves of football no matter who we play. a lot is made of our second half comebacks since KP arrived but you cannot win games week after week by having a good 20 odd minute spell like we did against altrincham. on another day another side will be out of sight before a half time bollocking and changes are made.
