Maybe.

But Wilson hasn't been far wrong since he started managing Pools - I'm happy to trust him quite frankly

wilsons theory is you take your chance when it comes
i think joel just put himself back on the bench

who said he was better
it is just the fact he is getting the nod over joel
probably because wilson signed moore
and wilson says you have to win your place

Well exactly.

Many unbelievers forget that there's such a thing as training where Wilson sees what he sees, and bases his squad selection on that.

Besides, if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Moore played well last night...

and Joel missed an open goal last night just before they scored the second... if that went in that was games set and match...

Well your mate was either drunk or stood behind a pillar.

Or he thinks unless a player does half a dozen mazy runs beating half of the opposition team twice before three keepy ups and heading the ball into an empty net means that he has done nowt. stpid

i wasnt atthe game but going off the commentary on tees moore was poor in the first half and little better in the second. some people who were at the game thought he did okay and other such as messrs nottingham and leicester thought he was very poor. i wasnt at the game so i cant say.

likewise cant see how poolpower can comment on joels performance as he wasnt at the game. the commentators on the radio seemed very impressed with his brief cameo.

if moore is keeping joel out of the team he must be a very very good player who has had off days when i have seen him play.

so tell me chip what am i doing that is so differant to you other than not agreeing with you on Joel being picked

i was not suggesting anything of the sort
what i said was looks like the bench for joel
i was not suggesting i had seen the game or that he should not be in the line up
you can read into it what you like but you can't make an opinion for me
as you have already said my opinion is wrong
Joel has never had a start this season so how do you know he is better this term than Moore
you dont
so any info you have from others is worthless as they have not seen enough of Joel to judge
he has been out injured has he not? how has he recovered from that injury? you dont know
so just maybe wilsons sees enough to know that he is not ready or he will not bow to fans pressure

my comment of look what happened was merely that a comment on what happened
he miss kicked in front of goal
and i dared to suggest it will be the bench for him

Porter is the most skilful, creative player in the forward areas at the club. More skilful and creative than Brown and Liddle. Unfortunately Wilson is restricting his chances so he can't get the chance to impress, because he knows he will HAVE to pick him.
This is seemingly a trait amongst all managers, that when they've made their mind up on certain players then they aren't going to give them a fair crack of the whip. The very fact Moore was signed in the first place seems to have been an attempt to push Porter out, even though it looked at the time a rash signing (and possibly even more so now).
Who knows, Moore might come good, but up to now I see Proctor Mk 2.

the first time i saw moore that was my impression exactly Proctor but as i said last week wilson has to justify his signing
but we still have not seen enough of Joel to judge if he is back to his best
wilson obviously thinks he is not and is hoping that moore can play himself into some decent form

Sometimes it only takes a goal to set a player off on a run of form. Here's hoping. :sweeeet:

Is this the "Lay off Matty Robson but everyone else is fair game" Board? Sorry Chip, but there are plenty of people not of sound mind on here.
