You think he's gonna be dropped?

Danny Wilson wrote:
Ian Moore netted his first Pools goal at Hillsborough and boss Danny Wilson believes the strike is just what the former Leeds forward needed.

"I'm delighted for him,'' said Wilson. "He might not be prolific but he gets in great areas and his workrate is absolutely fantastic.

"He's in the back of defenders all the time, he goes out, comes back in again and I'm delighted he is off the mark, scruffy though it may have been.

"He still got on the end of it and that's what good strikers do. It's nice to get off the mark and strikers always get a bit nervous the longer they go without scoring.''

Not a snowballs chance in hell !

i hope Moore goes on a scoring run but Foley deserved a chance after his goals at Scunny surely?

If Wilson doesn't want to use joel for whatever reason then so be it, but surely when players take their chance coming off the bench or when they are selected surely they deserve an oppertunity...? Budtz played well (at Scunny) and was given a chance - as did Matty Robson. If i was David Foley i would be wondering what the hell I would have to do to get a start.....

Leave the club and let Wilson re-sign him!? Then he would be guaranteed a game!

i think you are possinbly right. I'm not sure David Foley would be a revelation from the start but surely he deserved a chance in his preferred posistion after his match winning performance. I hope it isn't going to be a case of Wilson using his favourites if the results hit a downturn......

On the other hand, in Moore's interview he said that Danny had said,'I don't think we could do much different to give you more chances,' which sounds a bit like shape up or get dropped to me.

Where's all this evidence that Wilson stubbornly favours the people he brought in? Last season how many games did Ali Gibb play compared with how many he was available for? As for Monky, Barker, Boland and Liddle, how many of you would exclude them from the team? So the only signing who got mainly negative comments is the only one Wilson didn't play regularly. How is that favouritism?

Danny's obviously going to give his new signings a fair crack of the whip but history says he'll drop them if they don't work out. The season is still only three games old FFS and we're 5 points better off than last season already, so it's not like there's any need to rush into changes!
