I can't remember the last time I experienced that awful semi-slide soft step you get when trodding on turd.

I don't know if it's cos there's generally less of it about in Notts or perhaps I walk about less and drive more.

As a child/youth I used to spend most of my time on Rift House Rec which meant shitey shoes were inevitable. It used to really piss me off when you would see people let their dogs dung in the goal mouth of pitches, and even on the wickets.

Must be about 15 years - I haven't stepped in dog shite for ages, when I was a kid if there was dog shit about I always seemed to find it. You just never see it now. I think these days people are more likely to fart - follow through and give their duds a bit of a caking than stand in dog shite.....

I sense a white dog shite post marching towards this thread..........

Going back to the 'exodus' thread, if anything would compel me to move out of this country, then the dog turds would be it. It may appear to be a minor inconvenience, but it typifies to me the complete contempt that the majority of the population in this country has for their fellow 'citizens'.

There's no shortage of DS in this country on the pavements in this country if you miss it that much.
The best place I went to was Finland in winter, where the turds froze within minutes of being pooped so you had to be really unlucky to cop one.

Who remembers that dog that used to run along the top of the Rec at Kingsley Avenue all day every day chasing the cars in the 70s?

Thornton Street used to be known as 'dogshit alley,' for obvious reasons. I reckon people used to come from all over town so their dogs could log out in Thornton Street.
