exactly. its a simple game thats been made into a complicated one by managers and a lot of the theory thrown at our way trying to confuse us like formations and new playing position descriptions that have been with us since the ball was first kicked but called something else. a false number 9 my arse.

When I first started it was centre half, wing half, inside forward and centre forward, they change that to central defender, midfielders and strikers. Now we have numbers like a number 10 or 8 and as you say false no 9.

The requirement to have these UEFA qualifications like UEFA 1, UEFA 2 are just a load of bollocks and the reason teams seem to be playing much the same.

You either have the ability to coach or you don’t…..fulfilling the academic side probably excludes people with a natural ability but aren’t too hot on the over the top theory, so we end up with an overall lowering of the standard of coaching…the ‘technician’ with the paperwork but the charisma of a sprout becomes the standard.

He says every week he knows what to do but his players never do it. I was reading about Cyril Knowles the other day. We were in a similar position when he took over. He scared the living daylights out of the players but boy did he get results. Tough talking no nonsense .

It’s took me two weeks of traing to get Ratboy’s new sister trained to my satisfaction, so how come adults can’t be trained to follow basic instructions on an football pitch for 90 minutes… has Askey considered doggy treats, are they even house trained?

Well it’s becoming pretty obvious the players are not respecting Askey. Would these same players not be respecting the likes of Clough, Graeme, Challinor or Knowles. I don’t care what anyone says it’s down to personality. Askey knows what’s wrong I am 100% certain of that. His post match interviews allude to it. The blame is 100% him and Sweeney. Pains me to say it because I like the guy.

In any job, and I don’t care what anyone says, unless you work in some woke environment, if your boss bollocks you, you either leave or buckle down….in 90% of cases you buckle down out of fear or determination to prove yourself.
Trouble nowadays is it’s become the norm to pussy foot around till the situation is beyond redemption.

would love to bug the dressing rooms at the vic and the training complex to hear what the players say or take the piss on askey when he is out of earshot. something just isn,t right at pools and all we can do is guess.

Askeys pre match interview is utterly baffling. He is in a world of his own completely off his head. The bloke doesn't have a scoobie do about management. If I was a outsider listening to his interview I would assume the team are well drilled and doing fine.He needs to go its that simple.
