Just got back...

Right...

Firstly up until the last 15 mins it was fairly even with both sides having as much as the game as other, although Sheff Wed were sharper in attack and had more of a cutting edge during that time.

But we got tired and they began to heap the pressure. They almost scored when one of their players had a long shot that hit the post (just for the record that same player had already had 3 long shots that had gone nowhere the net so this time he got lucky).

During extra time we got more tired, Porter looked quite good but missed a shot. Foley came closest twice but failed to get his shots on target with one going wide and one over.

Then...we conceded with seconds to go. Nelson slide in to try and intercept the ball, it went towards Butdz and trickled through his legs...it was agony.

Our defence was all over the place and Antwi's decision making wasn't great. However, McCunnie was our unsung hero.

Moore was slightly better but he still doesn't combine well with Barker. He is always second to make a run. I've haven't seen that spark from him a very good pass.

Overall, I'd like to see us play at a higher tempo. I know our defence can play a lot better. Our midfield was good and I wouldn't mind seeing Porter start. Nothing has changed.

And we also outsung Wednesday for the entire match who were as quiet as a mouse. They managed two chants "4-2 in ur cup final" and "we all hate Leeds scum" when Leeds went 2-0 down to Portsmouth.

I couldnt understand what happened to Antwi, it was like he was a totally different player but guess he is allowed a bad game after how he has played so far.

We ended the 90minutes in awful shape but thought we were on top in extra time.

Humphreys was poor in midfield and Monkhouse was well short of match fitness. Mccunnie did well as did Liddle and Nelson was back to his very best (apart from 2 mistakes for the goal)''

Overall a decent game and agood performance.

We gave the ball away far too easily, time after time. We put ourselves under pressure a lot because of it. I haven't seen our defence so disorganised in a long time. The majority of their clearances didn't go far and nearly always went straight to a Wednesday player.

The lads put the effort in and we did have chances to have won it ourselves but we didn't do the basics as well as we know we can and Wednesday deserved the win, just a shame it came in the last minute and was down to poor play from us.
