Please don’t turn the Vic into a ‘community stadium’……because if we do have to face the worst, I don’t want the Council sticking their nose in to justify Pools playing there.

It’s where what was ‘ our ground’ is ‘persuades’ the club to let others have use of the facility…..I still have flashback s to when we had West ground sharing and the pitch looked like the Somme, circa 1916. :angry-tappingfoot:

I saw the interview with the Bromley Chairman during half-time of their fA Cup tie against Blackpool. He was saying their club wants to be at the hub of the community and boasted that a 1000 people per week played on the Bromley pitch which of course is 5G or whatever. If they get into the FL all that will have to stop as Sutton found out.

Macclesfield got their corporate side sorted first and have done really well from it. Like you id just prefer pools to keep the ground as it is but obviously updated in some ways. Pools ground is now the envy of many other teams fans, because they want the traditional grounds back.

I’ll be honest, if the day ever came when by some bizarre stroke of fate, like York, we were moved to some obscure location in a glorified soulless biscuit tin, I’d take up watching extreme ironing.

There was talk of a new ground around the Mayfair Centre, there is a plot of opposite the Hereema yard probably owned by PD ports where you could fit a stadium in also where the cars used to be parked when they were offloaded from the ships.

think a lot of that is our big amount of standing we still have. there are so many fans now who have had enough of all seater stadiums and yearn to start standing again. you only need to look at some away groups of fans who never sit in their seats and stewards seem to give up trying to make them conform now.
