A Canadian ice hockey club were going through a rough patch. After another poor display, a local businessman attending the match ordered a taxi as his car had broken down.
The taxi arrived and the taxi driver, a team supporter, berated every aspect of the club on the journey….he broke down where the team was going wrong on and off the pitch and then proceeded to explain the financial problems of the club and gave a complete breakdown of the clubs complex finances, and how easily they could be corrected in a one sided address to the business man, who remained silent.
When the taxi arrived at the business man’s affluent address he got out , paid the driver and said..”I listened to what you said about the club, if it’s that straightforward, why are you driving a taxi….?”

My mate went into a restaurant once. He's no chef but he knows his food was shit. He complained to the chef

"I can get much better food in that place up the road, very similar to yours"
"I'm sorry Sir, we need a few better staff in the kitchen. I told the owner it was worth hiring them as the food would be better, more customers would come and the new staff would effectively pay for themselves. The place up the road are doing just that. He told me no way, that I had to make do as he is running a tight ship".

The bloke was dumb for not going up the road, I would for sure, but then a restaurant is not his sports team.
Big difference.
Nice try.

one of my best eating experiances was going for a meal with a chef. we both like our steak well done and asked for it that way which went down like a len balloon with the waiter. lets say they got it right after the third time itwas sent back. its great being with someone with the knowledge of the subject and how to get things done for you.

Yeah that's how a business thrives. Telling customers to go up the road or stay at home and spend their money on something else.

Dumb for a football club, perfectly acceptable for a restaurant, in fact the difference is so obvious, no explanation is needed.

When I went out for business lunches a few years ago and I was partial to a nice steak, I always asked for it to be "cremated" as what you see in these cooking programs now is "bloody" awful. Most is so rare the animal could get up and walk off the plate!

We’ve been to two places in the past fortnight, recommended and I was sorely disappointed….not just the food but the service in general….tell it how you see it because if anyone asks me I’ll tell it how it is, because some places appear to be run for the convenience of the staff.

Take the horns off and wipe its a*** if you want it rare.
Steak tartare is a steak dish made of chopped or minced raw fillet steak bound by raw egg yolk and seasoned with mustard, capers, and other ingredients, seen it but never tried it, I don’t like cold food.

So if you get served crap food what do you say…”… don’t worry, the foods awful, but I’m quite happy to be taken for a ride …. There are seven restaurants in this street, so why make an effort when I keep coming to eat……your town has one football club but numerous places to eat…look up the word ‘perspective’.

No I would let the owner know what he was serving was rubbish. I might stop going and cook at home instead. If I'd grown up with the place and it was the only one around I might be loyal and keep trying to digest what was served up. Might go on social media to chat to fellow foodies about their bad experiences. That's until a strange bunch of self appointed PR police acting on behalf of the restaurant owner bizarrely tried to snuff out such talk, terrified the guy would read it, get the huff and close the place. The last bit is a little bit ridiculous and far fetched but there you go.

There are seven restaurants in this street, so why make an effort when I keep coming to eat……your town has one football club but numerous places to eat…look up the word ‘perspective’.

This second paragraph loses me. The 'logic' is as flawed as the original Canada story.

I like medium rare steak. Its tender and juicy but isn't cold in the middle. Cook it any more and its ruined.
