Got to be up with the very worst keepers to ever play for Pools. Think Rochdale only had 3 shots on goal sctatchinghead If he stands up straight he saves the first. If he moves to the player rather than stand still he saves the second. The third is a good goal but I think he has a clear view of the shot from way out and possibly could have pushed it around the post.

The first one he stood to the side and let him just slot it away.

For the first he hesitates, waits too long and then rushes off his line when he has no chance of doing anything except allow their player to pass it into an empty goal. This after 2 minutes banghead banghead

His positioning is all wrong for the second too. Jameson is bang average but Dixon is a complete liability.

But these players are supposed to be professionals, they make decisions amateurs wouldn't... only at Pools.

First 7 games Jameson conceded 14 goals or in his 11 games 21 goals which is 1.90 goals per game.

Dixon 14 goals in 7 games so both equally as crap as each other.

He was out of position. Way out as people will see.

He hesitated, then he came, then he stopped. Should have kept coming and he would have got to the ball first.
Second was shocking too, 3rd don't think he was at fault to be fair. Other than that he didn't have a lot to do.surely Jameson will be back after that shit show.

He looks like a kid who's just been flung in, not a keeper who's played over 200 professional games as high as league one. He looks poor in every aspect of his game, even his kicking is dreadful. Jameson isn't great but he's the better option. To think I was genuinely happy with these two coming in.

Then again both keepers are only as good as the defence in front of you and the Defence is as only as good as the Keeper... Catch 22... I personally blame the defence today.

Any keeper would struggle with a back line that changes game to game, but that first goal was abysmal. Just dropped to one side and left the biggest of gaps for the Rochdale lad to lift it home.

I thought as a kid it was a big mistake to sell Terry Bell to Reading.
However, I got over it though by tea time, but I was a naive kid.

Easy to forget the howlers Killip made and the lost points due to his inability to come of his line for crosses, his poor distribution, his rash decision making, etc. Great shop stopper, but considering how many goals we've conceded from crosses he wouldn't be the answer imo.
Anyhow, he left of his own accord and we've got 3 keepers to choose from although 2 of them are looking poor to embarrassing at the moment.
1st 2 goals yesterday goalkeeper was horrendous, 3rd goal came from midfielders losing possession and giving them a great shooting opportunity, don't think keeper was at fault.

over the years pools have had good keepers. however since the arrival of killip only the lad on loan from leicester has been even close to deserving the shirt. seriously how can a club sign keepers worse than killip when he was with us and to replace him by. like signing a goalscorer because the previous one only scored one goal a season and replaced by one that cannot score one.
