Moore has had four games and hasn't looked a threat, he looked really low on confidence today and seemed to lack a bit of self belief.

As soon as Foley came on we looked better going forward, after doing nowt for the opening 25 minutes of the second half. It also must be very frustrating for Joel Porter watching Moore at the moment when every time he comes on he looks at the top of his game, he only got four or five minutes today, he stormed straight off the field at the end of the game. He has a right to feel frustrated.

I'm not writing off Moore as a good player for Pools in the future but at the moment there are two other forwards far more deserving of a starting place.

Sort it out Danny boy

if we end up losing Porter because of a transfer request it would be tragic. He is quality, whereas Moore seems to be just effort. I want to watch quality, and that is what will unlock defences for the team. The likes of Proctor and Llewellyn were getting in before him last time Porter was fit, and if Moore keeps performing like he does and still gets in before Joel, then he'd be well within his rights to say, "Enough is enough, I'm outta here"!!!

At the moment we are playing very well and are 5th in the table. Maybe Moore is contributing to the team as in hard work etc.... tracking players down. As long as someone is scoring the goals we have nothing to worry about.

Why change a winning team

Mind, I'd like to see Joel given a little longer at the weds on tuesday.

isn't this more to do with the way we play? moore and barker soak it up and take the hits for 70 mins then foley and porter get to look good.

The tactics with Moore and Barker will work well as long as Pools score the first goal. It doesn't look like we are going to concede many when we have quality midfielders like Liddle and Boland in the team but the strikers do need to start scoring. I'm sure young foley would chase things down and be a general irritant to defenders from the start as would Porter....

Danny Wilson is without doubt an exceptional manager and hopefully he will continue to get it right. Has the promootion push been officially declared yet? or are we all going to be cautious for now?
