Given the recent additions to the squad, and the fact that they already seem a lot fitter than the last campaign, where do you think Pools will finish this season?

I'm going with 6th

Not going to predict winning the play offs just yet and I reckon we'll have a trip to Wembley in the Trophy. That would be a good season for me.

What do you chaps reckon?

com e back after 10 games then we might be able to judge how good we are and what the opposition are like.

Very hard to predict because we haven't played anyone, up front we seem to have more competition, keepers look better, defence is still weak as piss and midfield were still lacking a Dan kemp type player to bang a few in. I'd take mid table now if it was offered.

Am going for an optimistic 7th !

Thats based on the fact transfer window open all year and assumption that Askey will be backed.....I expect a slow start followed by improvement based on additional recruitment.....squad as it stands is prob mid table at best

yes its those southern lot we know or care little about that could be a problem. so many players down there to sign with many doing sideways moves from one club to another regularly.

you can add the usual suspects of woking, bromley, eastleigh and boreham wood to it. cannot see a surprise package apart from pools.

Woking are tipped by many including the none league paper who have very good knowledge of this level and predicted pretty decent last season too.

They have strengthened their squad and like Daggers will be my dark horse also.

Boreham and Bromley always teams there or there abouts - be a surprise package somewhere too with the likes of Solihull or Ebbsfleet to just come out of no where and have a good season

It’s too early to say at the moment. But if I was going to the bookies tomorrow I would
Stick with my prediction last year of 12th and based upon last season I believe it’s a case of consolidation this season. Askey and the players finding their feet and adjusting to the level. Just hope I can watch some streamed games somewhere.

Also got to factor in the teams who play on Plastic- a definite advantage for Harrogate and Sutton the years they went up.
So Bromley, Ebbsfleet? Dorking? sure there must be at least another 1 or 2 since we were last down here

I’ve given this some very deep thought and analysed all the options and possibilities and concluded things should be clear by next April. bbolt

said after promotion that one of the best things about it was no bt sports anymore. unless you can do the semi illegal stuff you have to pay the minimum of over 29 quid for a monthly pass to possibly if you are like me just to watch the
pools game. wish they did the 24 hour one like sky do which is less than half that price. it would not cost me much more than a fiver driving up here for the game taking both diesal and my old gits ticket into the equasion. stuff you bt sports you,ll not get a penny out of we and i hope others follow.

We're not going to get anywhere near promotion without a reasonable defence or a lad in midfield who will bang a few in. If askey has us anywhere near mid table with the shambles going on behind him he will of done a bloody good job.

Another CB with experience, Hard hitting CM then almost there.
I,m pretty sure Askey has those places on his agenda.
And no transfer window helps.

after watching the Harrogate game we need another solid CB - with experience but who still has the legs...

id like to see us maybe get another forward player in too - Umerah and Wreh are leggy and wont do the galloping needed. We seen how much a player like Oates in the team at this level is killer for teams to break down and slide a through ball for. Luckily still plenty of time
