Looking at the news this morning and 2 things made me laugh (well really cry);

1) Shoepak still believing we will hit Net Zero by 2050. Does he think he will be in power by then? Is he speaking out of his ar*e? 5 year plans are hard to achieve let alone 23 year plans.

2) That Khalife bloke pleading not guilty to escaping from Wandsworth Prison. I expect he will say next he was kidnapped. Why is he in court though, it's an open and shut case, just lock him up and throw away the key.

I don’t care, I can buy a new gas boiler now and maybe the price of second hand cars will come down from the clouds. First common sense thing he’s done…and gonna save me some money..unless you intend to fit a £20,000 heat pump anyway. No wonder Ford are up in arms, they’ve just missed out on new car sales, bit of a nerve as they don’t produce a single car in the country.

The UK is legally committed to the 2050 deadline, so it doesn't matter who is in. I don't think for one minute the bold Rishi expects to be PM in 2050.
According to the "we are doomed" merchants we won't get to 2050. I don't expect to anyway, although 105 is feasible.
I blame Raj.
And the Germans still won't have coughed up the damage they caused to the Vic.
Poolie Imp and Mr Billy still won't be satisfied with our mid table position in the Premier league of Europe under the ownership of the Grandson of Raj.

After 20 whenever the price of petrol/diesel second cars will go through the roof, as no more are to be manufactured, people won’t be able to afford battery cars and the infrastructure still won’t be in place to charge them.

There is talk of a legal challenge from interested party’s…..the virtue signalling middle class and destitute lawyers will have a field day.
We are gonna end up with cars and the freedom to travel being only for those who can afford it and it won’t be us…but at least the roads will flow more freely for those who can…..plus they won’t need all those charging points after all because there’ll be a lot less people driving.

if they cannot sell the electric dream to the masses all they,ll do is price us out or annoy us so much we,ll ditch our proper cars. extra green taes on the fuels we use, stupid speed restrictions and road closures where residents of the headland will have to travel out to the A19 and down it to the A689 to get to seaton.

I was in York on Tuesday talking to a van driver whose next drop was at Newcastle. However he had to go right up to the top side of Newcastle and then drop in from that far side so as to avoid the £70 ulez fine. More fuel, more pollution, more time = counterproductive.

Let’s be honest, they haven’t got a clue. This the victory of woke dogma over reality.
The Welsh 20 limit means pollution from cars by 50% be as use a journey now takes 50% longer……it appears the Welsh eco Junta low on basic maths and high on bovine excrement.

The Welsh maths guys reckon it won’t add much on to journey times at all.

A lot of it is to do with drivers nor being able to drive at 30 in built up areas in the first place, and stopping and starting etc.

Just what I was told, don’t shoot the messenger.

I wouldn’t dream of it Mr C

I take it the Law of Physics in Wales is very flexible.

its bloody common sense it will not add times to many journeys at peak hours as the traffic will be nose to tail anyway where even 20 mph is unable to be done. anyway whats to stop people ignoring the speed limit if there are no cameras about to enforce it. are everyone goody goodies now and drive strictly to speed limits no matter the time of day or where they are and the road conditions themselves. i,ll readily admit i do not without taking all the factors into consideration first otherwise its just driving by numbers and nothing else.
