On the OS now.

Or rather, it's gone digital - not sure who in their right mind would pay for that, but quite a few of us have been buying a printed programme as a souvenir of the game since we were nippers.

The writing was on the wall last season. I only managed to get a programme once in the last 5 or 6 games, and I get to the ground 15-20 minutes before kick off.

Bollocks then, £3 saved. Won't be wasting it on anything else at the ground :angry-tappingfoot:

I first encountered this at Forest Green - season before last. Me and another fellow Poolie spent about 25 mins trying to locate a program- from the turnstiles to the club shop and back only to the. be informed that they don't do them- was livid. I too like a matchday magazine, particularly at a ground I might not go to again, and now that paper tickets have just about disappeared- I like a momento of the visit, also a bit of reading when I get home.
Thought it was mainly due to the fact that they have Dale Vince in charge on his eco crusade!
It's all part of the matchday experience for me, particularly being exiled in Northants, don't get to as many games as I once did. Nobody is going to bother downloading one- that's just nonsense - wouldn't have thought the sponsors would be too happy about it either. Plus not everybody has a smartphone to be able to do that.
Unfortunately once a few clubs start doing it- it will quickly become a thing of the past- which is a real shame.

I like the permanence of a in your hand programme to look back on in years to come. Every bloody thing has to be downloaded now, so transient…nice to just grab an old programme out of a draw and appreciate the silly little things like the adverts, it’s called nostalgia….. some disapprove, but I quite like i.

hope they do a printed team sheet at least to replace it. for me the death of em started once squads were put in a programme rather than the team for today when you altered names w3hen the teams were announced. it takes weeks and weeks for me to recognise new players and you forget their squad numbers until the season is nearly over. without checking up who can remember the squad numbers of dan dodds or the on loan keeper who we saw regularly.

Not ideal but you could print out at home, I like reading, probably read 3/4 books in a month, I use an ebook, everything is going digital nowadays. It won’t long before all the tickets are paperless as well making the people in the ticket office redundant.

well when that day does come it will be the end of football for me unless the club provides me with a printer and phone i do not need and show me how to use it. just wonder if me and snowy can manage our digital dog walking and on line cat chases.

Just seen on FaceAche that they're charging £3 for the digital download programme - surely there's nobody daft enough to pay that?
