Can anyone tell me what ‘ contract exercised ‘ regarding Sylla, Putin and Dolan

Pools had a years option to keep the players.

the Sylla thing is goin to be interesting now...

he clearly had something lined up with a club and was about to leave for free

we have excersised the years clause and will now cost cash for said interested club(s)....

but where said club(s) taking a gamble with him like we did simply because he was a free addition and now turning their noses up at having to shell out cash for him too ?

its a good move by Pools to secure some cash from him but it could bite us in the ass having a sour faced frenchy not wanting to play all season and us stuck with him and paying his wages ? TBH id have him in the side and he would be a great addition for a NL midfield but i dont think JA is too happy with him so cant see him playing again under him.

Which begs the question of who decided to retain him……I feel that should be the choice of the manager,

We aren't going to see Mo Sylla in a Pools shirt again but it's entirely right that the club cashes in on giving him his breakthrough season in the EFL. Whether it's Bolton or someone else he'll get picked up.
