I got a taxi from Hartlepool rail station to Greatham last night which cost the princely sum of £14.
As i was getting out of the taxi i was told a bank holiday premium applied.
I was speechless and i gave him a £1 tip

£1.90 for a bus that distance? It costs me £2 to go 5 stops under the Boris bus subsidy system so I think the extra 10p might tip you over the edge!!

Last time I got a taxi for 2 miles cost £10 at 9am on a Sunday about 6 months ago, so all heading upwards.

Sunak has said many times we shouldn’t be importing labour but training up in the U.K., it’s probably the only thing I have ever agreed with from a Tory. But greedy companies won’t pay for training people up instead sending them to uni to get a worthless degree. Joiners, Plumbers, Electricians, Bricklayers, Welders, Fitters etc don’t need a degree.
At Hinckley Point the 2 electrical contractors wanted to deskill the Electrical trade making some of the tasks semi skilled meaning they didn’t have to pay tradesmen wages, for once the unions stepped in and blocked it.
