yes and in some ways we can count ourself lucky our better spell came after relegation proper came in the 80,s. gave us nearly 40 years extra of league football we might never have had. if pools had gone in the early 60,s i doubt northern league football would have been seen in the town and if it did it would not have been at the vic. people in the town laughed at you then for supporting pools never mind people out of the area.

People in the town laughed at you up till IOR took over and I witnessed several piss takers I worked with who became season ticket holders, we called them ‘Clingons’.
At least I was there when we were needing them not feeding them.
