Apparently in World War 2 the Italian tanks had 1 forward gear and five very fast reverse gears in case the enemy attacked unexpectedly.

Don’t mention the French… in my twenties I heard some of the older blokes discussing D Day and one who was there said the French weren’t happy about being liberated because of the damage we caused liberating them

….. apparently they said the Germans always paid on time for their farm food extra’s….I ask you
