Last time out people were saying that the team were world beaters and we were as good as safe. After today it’s suicidal Syd time and the world is at an end. Neither are true.

What is fact is that we have four games left and we’ve lost one in nine. Beat Crawley and it’s back in our hands. If we can’t beat them then we’re fooked anyway..

Bottom line is ‘shape up you bunch of miserable twats’. It’s a long way from over.

As Askey has said in his post match interview, "Its how we react now"
That goes for us too.

Roll on tuesday.

PS: Thanks Tranmere for fucking up your penalty.

Couldn't agree more. The only 'loyal fans' who have a right to be aggrieved by a below par performance are the ones who who went all the way to Newport to watch the game, and I doubt we've heard from any of them yet. Even then, it's 1 bad result after 8 unbeaten. Pools are still only 2 points from safety and it's all if-if-ifs at this point.

For those of you who only ever watch Pools games for nowt on IPTV - you do realise that your 'support' contributes the square root of naff all to Pools' fortunes? If you care so much, do whatever it takes and get along to at least one of our last four games. Your vocal support for the team might actually make a difference.*

*Not directed at those who are physically incapacitated from going to a game, obviously. The rest of you, get yer feckin' skates on!

Forgot you are only a true supporter if you go to the Vic every week and the away games. So what am I. I don't live in the town anymore. Only been to 2 home and 2 away this season. Clearly not a true supporter along with a lot of other fans who don't live in Hartlepool or have to work every other weekend. Don't use that card of true fans go to every game. What's Jeff then, he doesn't get to many matches.....

Who said anything about going to every game? See above if you're not clear who my dig was aimed at. And if a couple of them hadn't been so quick off the mark trash talking the manager and the team after one poor result, I'd have said nowt.

It was the way we lost I think
Looking at fixtures this was a must win, we really need to win our next 3 now which is a huge ask (hopefully barrow out of it when we play them)
Crawley last 2 are Walsall and Swindon which are realistically 6 points for them.

Askey deserves huge credit for what he’s done so far but that selection was bizarre

No pace or width at all in Midfeild , and back 4 meant full backs couldn’t provide it
Murray above foran against a team with long throws and a physical centre forward was nonsense and the subs that came in made us worse

The big praise for Askey is he got them organized and knowing what they were doing , the opposite was true with todays selection

First game in ages i went into with expectation as oppose to just hope and what a huge let down it was

Please let’s get back to what was working and 5-3-2

There are some of us on here but do contribute to the clubs coffers via iFollow . However, as mentioned on other thread my comments where a bit unfair considering what the lads have achieved and I hold my hand up.

There’s always hiccups along the way, that’s football…it’s how you respond on the field and on the terraces, it’s just intensified by the circumstances, but till we drive away from Stockport, we have to play our part and give unconditional support, now is NOT the time to be getting on anyone’s back.

The worry for Pools is crawleys games look very winnable. We couldn't of picked two worse away games if we tried.

i have done 6 games at the vic and 2 away. intend on doing 2 more befor the season ends. if anyone is willing to fund me travelling nearly 180 miles round trip i,ll come to every game as well. The live match streaming is a god send to those who live away and i for one would be prepared to pay my admission fee into grounds to receive it. everyones circumstances are different and its the ones that call themselves poolies that live round the corner, capable of going but pick one match of the season to do it. every club has these and exiles.

thats the problem. if these two games were not together fans would not have been bothered about the results. JA will now have another job on his hands he has not had before with us. Lifting the side after defeat against a side we have always played poor against and them losing their previous home game. Was hopeing for a big salford win yesterday as you do not get to be 8th in the league by losing 2 home games on the bounce.

I think average crowds of 4600 after the dross that's been thrown up is remarkable, especially having the highest season ticket prices in the league. We will get close to 7000 for crawley. Fans not going that won't be a contributer to going down is because of horrendous cheap decisions made back in the summer.

yes and thats the reason the atmosphere could turn really toxic if things go against us. It will not be againt JA and the few decent players we have it will be a situation of the early season dross and lack of any inverstment from the unbudgetted cup run incomes we got last season. If i was raj i think i,d stay at home as this could easily happen and he is the easiest person to blame for the shit we will be in.

And spouting the usual bollocks about rip-off Hartlepool won't make a difference either, though it might make a few feel better about staying away. Pools had the 11th most expensive season tickets last summer, bang in the middle.

Who exactly are staying away though? I'm not sure many clubs in our position would do much better.

Well hopefully, the fans will be around next season, I know I will be, if we end up in the National League, the sad thing is Notts County 103pts with a +72 GD and still might be playing NL next season. They average crowd for them been around 9000, Southend average around 6000 Chesterfield around 6000 Oldham 4500 so once again we be in top 5 at least for best home crowds.

Hopefully Singh will lower the prices to pack the Vic, especially as the rink end won't be full, only Notts County, Chesterfield, Southend, Rochdale, Gateshead, York, Oldham & maybe Halifax will bring 700+ away fans. Everyone else will bring average 170...

So if he offers a good price for season tickets and gates entry, then gives the backing to Askey to build a team to challenge at the top, we could easily get an average of 5200 ourselves.

Daily mirror 15 June 2022 Hartlepool united have the most expensive starting price for season tickets in the league. That for a north Eastern club is ridiculous.

And still sold around 3000+ season tickets. Could you imagine he could sell another thousand if lowered them by £80 or so.

The Barrow game could quite easily turn into a relegation riot Combination of a pissed of crowd and the Bouncer style stewards.
It wont be a peaceful relegation.
But Hopefully the players show the fans the respect they deserve n they make ammends for Saturdays debacle. Rip there bollocks off for 4 games then weqll happy.

What is it about modern so called journalism that they cannot write a headline without the word ‘revealed’. As if making a list is Woodstein-esque!

Every "celebrity" has a spokesperson to deny or admit the latest story about them.

You know what I mean - the spokesperson for King Charles, the spokesperson for Harry/Meghan, the spokesperson for every B list celebrity downwards.

What a load of "bollox"

Common one now is person being interviewed says ‘that’s a good question’, gives them time to think of answer.

And the Pools fans resplendent in their fancy dress will be chanting "We are National League, say we are National League" on the sun kissed away end at Edgely Park. Hope I'm wrong. I sooo hope I'm wrong.

Got to be impossible to perform as bad as the last 2 games especially with 6000 in attendance.

500 poolies turning up on a tuesday night against a side we have never beaten or performed against at their place is really odd if you look at it either positive or negatively.

I knew we'd take a fair amount down last night, but never expected 500+.
Quite remarkable really.

400 plus more than what crawley would have brought. Pools going down will cost every club in the league money next season, even the salfords who do not need it.

Players just aren't good enough. You look at the bench and it's a joke for the size of this club. Kids brought in the transfer window, some random from York, this lad from Arsenal. What did we expect? Its a miracle we made it to today before relegation.

2 wins from 11 for JA.
3 different managers with decent CVs expecting to turn water into wine.
100% Failure down to Sing.
Its almost Criminal.

Some random lad from Blackpool I mean, Hartley was a desperation signing and so was dolan.

Whether u live in dream land n preach to other Poolies. Who cant attend every HOME game.
It dosent change the results.
Face to face banter n shit on here
Same shit.
