So...

You like Porter a lot, you don't like Robson at all.

Is that it??

Yeah but everyone knows we've got a great left winger but he's suspended. There's always a natural pecking order and shortage of natural left footers. Matty is the logical choice for that position given what was said about Humps performance at Luton. Otherwise you're back to playing someone out of position. Is it possible that the choice was forced on Danny Wilson?? Also you've got to look at the quality of opposition and the results we're getting.

Port Vale will have to face Robson and Humphries 'cos we haven't got anyone else available who's left footed or bring Porter in with Moore up front and drop Barker back behind them and go 3-5-2. That makes Matty a wing back and we all watched Lincoln away last season.

Budtz- 6- a bit dodgy is complimentary, there must be one huge collective arsetwitch around the ground when the opposition get a chance to cross the ball
McCunnie- 7- looked solid and gave us more going forward from right back than we've had for years (apart from when the last sweat we had playing there briefly)
Elliott- 6- average, hasn't excited me in a Pools shirt but hopefully he'll improve- harsh sending off
Antwi- 8- agree with Dibblers comments
Nelson- 7- solid again, but I'd still rather have Clark in the team
Brown- 8- good touches, exciting to watch
Robson- 7- one of his better games, distribution has improved this season, pace is a threat and can't fault him for effort
Boland- 9- our midfield works much better when he's there doing all the important basic stuff
Liddle- 8- not one of his better games but still worthy of an 8, that says it all really
Barker- 7- got stuck in, gave their defenders a game and helped create for others
Moore- 6- doesn't look like a bad signing, just too similar to (but not as good as) Barker for them to work together- that's not his fault though!

Man of the Match? Willie B. I think our season could be shaped by how many games we get from that fella.

That just exposes you for the Matty-hater that you say you aren't though. Exactly what has he done wrong in the games he's played this season?? We've won them both with ten men, one of them Matty, how much better can we do??

Ah, the old 'opinions' card.

Point is, if we played well, we won, had the disadvantage of being down to ten men, and were playing one of the rated teams in the division, who spent upwards of half a million in the close season, and Matty Robson was part of the team that did that, why pick him out as the one who wouldn't get a game for Red Star Belgrade??

I'm not asking anyone to wear rose tinted spectacles and I don't say he's ready for England. I just don't see why there has to be a whipping boy in a team that's done fantastically well last week faced with three games against quality opposition in a new league. What does the kid have to do?? He's only 22 and he's been getting battered since he was 19.

GLASSES OFF
I agree with dribble we did lose a lot of opportunities when matty got forward in space then got lost
great running forward with the ball probably one of the best at the club but the end product so many times was to lose it or waste it
the ball seems to hit his foot and bounce to a defender so many times when he is in a good position
how old is Brownie?

Some people simply don't pay attention.

The whole point is, in the rosy glow of a good start and two great wins against the odds as well as against great opposition, all you can do is pick out Matty Robson as a liability.

So be it. Some appreciate the good things in life some people are just born to find the mouse shit in the treasure chest.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's 84F, cool enough to go for a swim under the palm trees in the moonlight, followed by a couple of extremely cheap icy beers at the Foreign Friends Club.

I'll bet there's no fookin' free peanuts.

Probably the same people who told Steve Howard that he'd never make a footballer for as long as they had a hole in their arse.

It's just a shame that they talk through it a lot of the time.

And Chip is not observant just because he doesn't agree with you?

What happened to your patter about opinions earlier?

The keeper looked dodgy on crosses bit like dimi.
Mcunnie played well
Elliot done alrite
Antwi played well
Nelson lack of pace got caught out for their goal
Brown PASS PASS JUST PASS IT!
Bolland played well
Liddle played well
Robson get rid of him can't play.
Moore did nowt
Barker won his headers.
Porter changed the game although at the time i thought foley would of been the better option with his pace.
