A few great performances in there. Mccunnie had a stormer as did Boland and Liddle.

Elliotts set pieces in first half was absymal, 2nd half they got better and so did he, red card was harsh especially since their guy who brought down Brown in box didnt even get booked??

I dont think Moore is the answer up front. Dont see what he brings apart from running about as there is no end product with him. Give me Porter or Foley anyday.

Robson, well I tried to give him a chance today but he aint good enough. For once it wasnt me shouting for him to be taken off but those around me. He has pace il give him that and its kinda exciting seeing him run at people but theres nothing else there. Id still rather have him playhing than Humphreys mind but Monkhouse everytime when he is back.

Also am I right in thinking we only had 2 shots on target?

It sounded like Porter was doing a good job of keeping the ball in their half after we went down to 10 men.

When Porter came on he always looked like he was going to make things happen. Lovely stuff at the end when he turned a couple of players and bent it just wide of the right hand post.

I'd start him next game. He's too good to be left on the bench.

Bit harsh Mr Tree.

Second half Donny came at us more and he had defend a lot more which he did well, he even beat their sub, the big black lad up front, in the air, but when he got the ball he had their defenders in bits a time. Only criticism I have is that sometimes he tries to do too much.

Match report is up here: http://www.hartlepool.vitalfootball.co.uk/matchrep.asp?a=79271

I though Elliott was crap today, how many set pieces did he completely waste?

Matty played very well but when he made one bad pass everyone was on his back. Yet people like Elliott were rubbish and didn't have a word said against them.

Up front Moore and Barker did nowt, it needs to be one of them and Porter/Foley alongside them.

Brownie needs to learn when to play the ball. He runs but never pasess at the right time and then loses the ball.

'Barker did nowt'-He scored the winning goal and won virtually every single header against his marker.

'Mr Invisible in 2nd'-Brown created the penalty by beating 2 players and was just about to score when he was fouled.

brown won us the penalty (and also the corner for our 1st goal) and we scored from one of Elliott's corners (admittedly the rest of his set pieces were poor)

Can't really find any massive faults with anyone today, potentially budtz looked a little dodgy from corners and a few players need longer studs in their boots but otherwise a good performance against a side who will be in the playoffs at least.

I would like Skippy to be back in from next week but I wouldn't hold it against Wilson if he decided to give Moore at least one more chance.

Matty looked comfortable if not spectacular on the left wing and will be more than adequate until Monkhouse returns. Barker was great in the air and never stopped working against a "big" defence.

Antwi MOTM for me, fantastic

Ref was a bit suspect, that game did not warrant 7 bookings and I also felt that for Elliott's very very dodgy 2nd yellow the actual "foul" was inside the area, so maybe we got off lightly there!!!

Perhaps i'm being a tad harsh but neither of them looked like scoring. The goal he scored was a penalty and it was his first chance of the game. Not really too much to complain about, It was still a good win and the whole team worked hard for it.

I agree with that chip, about Moore being similar to Proctor, he seems to spend far too much time chasing the ball than actually dropping in and wanting it off his team mate. When we had 10 men and Porter was on the pitch we looked far more threatening(attacking wise) than when we had 11 men and Moore was playing.

Porter(and Foley) should certainly be starting before Moore-if today's performance is anything to go by.

BTW-nice holdall chip!

Other than never stopping running and wanting the ball, I just dont see what any of you see in Matty Robon. stpid

He is the biggest liabilty of a player we have.

I would love to sit through a re viewing of the match with you all, and analyse his performance properly.

I have never EVER seen a player pick the wrong option quite so many times.

Oh........and he made donnys goal by brilliantly keeping the ball in play by slidiing in and putting them through. stpid stpid stpid

If he is better than Ritchie Humphreys its time I stopped going.

Maybe he wasnt helped by Elliot who also was useless.

Other than that, I thought we were easily the better side.

But how much more threatening did we look after Joel came on?

Joel is the best striker at the club by a country mile.

Overall though very encouraging.

McCunnie was very good, and when we c=get Humphreys and Monkhouse on the left we will be superb.

MOM

Between BOland, Liddle, and Antwi for me.

If Donny are favourites for promotion we should win this league. rolfl rolfl

Wouldn't disagree with any of that can't believe he's getting a place before Humphries??

I'm in agreement with you there, but I wouldn't know who I would replace him with as I feel Ritchie's had his day. Also, McCunnie didn't do it for me either.

Other than that, no complaints apart from the obvious Porter/Moore debate.

I thought Antwi was brilliant even without scoring a goal.
