Despite our pathetic season so far, we were lucky enough to be surrounded by equally useless clubs. Unfortunately the one thing we lack to make up for our abysmal performances on the pitch is any sight of fight or aggression in the team in most positions, there’s an air of complete indifference on the pitch at times and the crime is we still aren’t adrift of safety but the players appear to have thrown the towel in.
A manager can appeal to players to perform, but sometimes you have to kick arses and demand more of someone being paid to do a job, this is not the time for wasting time, we need performances on the pitch, not incompetence.
That said, if you bought a Lada don’t be surprised when the back axle collapses after 2,000 miles. Same with players.

problem is a new manager can win some over but not em all who might yearn for the old one. then he will rate and not rate certain players but is stuck with them. even brian clough got rid of loads at clubs to bring his own men in. with the present situation a manager coming in has his hands tied in a big way. our problem happened in the summer and we have to use the sticking plaster approach since then.

Keith curle has reiterated we won't get outbid for any player in league 2. What actual planet is he living on? I can't wait to see Armstrong and Johnson line up for us on Saturday then.

Just read a piece by Nigel Clough saying Mansfield are one of the top payers in the division but Gillingham blew them away with offers to Hawkins and Lapslie. Hawkins is turned 31 but was offered 2.5 year deal by Gillingham on silly money. Colchester doing similar things so looks like both will have enough firepower to pull away from the bottom. Probably leaves Rochdale, Harrogate and Pools .... any 2 from 3. At least we went to the last minute of the last game when we lat went down. I think we will be long gone by then this time with Curle scuttling the ship as we speak.

think gillingham and colchester yet again will be safe. there could be another club drawn into it who think they are safe but will not be able to buy a win and everything that will go wrong will. not leaving ctawley out just yet either.

Does Curle and raj think we're all thick? We have witnessed what's gone on last 18 month. What was the actual point of last year's cup runs if your weakening your team further?. I see the usual goal scoring forward was been thrown out there, probobly from someone within the club who thinks we all believe were actually in for him, happens every transfer window now, funny when it comes to the crunch we not only do not get them, but we end up with a player not even close to that standard.

About time the lies within the club ended, they actually sort the complete mess out. Two has been ex poolies aren't going to cut it this transfer window.

This is slightly worrying because it makes you wonder if KC has a firm grasp of reality. It really is a strange thing to say.

I mentioned that to our kid last week.
A miracle we were out the bottom 2 given our points tally. sctatchinghead.
I mentioned on here a while back how shit Gillingham n Colchester were.
Theve addressed that situation majorly due to the transfer window while Pools just talk the talk.

As for our Manager i dont think hes got a nasty streak in him to blast n motivate our powder puff so called footballers.
Last 2 games are proof of that.
Needs to watch a few Neil Warnock videos.

And last week's interview on bbc tees.

Why the fcuk to we bother letting these cranks rip the piss out of us.

Dolan was non effective at Gillingham.
Hartley has to be a major improvement but no guarantees there after years in the Dog n Duck B Divisions.

This is now a bigger ask than the Great Escape season.
We brought higher standard players in then.
UTP.

Some of these Clubs paying supposed big money are most likely doing so at the expense of not paying HMRC!

I’ve come to the conclusion that Curle is a deep thinker who doesn’t realise that half our players need Gaelic subtitles or have the theme from the Magic Roundabout playing in the void where their brain should be….thinking is beyond them
You can’t motivate an OXO cube and Curle is no Sergeant Major, on top of which half of them couldn’t be started with jump leads off a tank.
They’re a flock of sheep, paid sheep, oblivious to our frustration and the fighting spirit and threat of a balloon on a stick.
Even if we got a fanatical Poolie lottery winner in tomorrow, we’re shafted as we’re running out of time in the third quarter of the month then the gates slam shut.

answer to your fitst point is the club know fans will lap up anything they put out and believe every single word. just tell us how it is and not what fans wish to hear as the truth comes out in the end. apart from politics football seems the only other field where bullshit is the king.
