Every time Pools appear on whatever, I Follow, Sky etc the cameras always focus from The Millhouse Stand over to The Cyril Knowles and Rink End and gives the impression of a smaller crowd than there actually is. OK The Town End features but what with the Millhouse NW Corner suddenly on the scene the old behind the goal Town End hard core have shifted. it good to see fans there but the more vocal fans are hardly every seen because of being tucked away from the cameras. If on the other hand the cameras were on The Cyril Knowles side and pointed over to The Mill House Stand and we exiled supporters could see the fervent Pools fans in NW Corner and Mill House it would in my opinion give a better representation of Pools following at home games. Years ago in Shoot days the cameras were on the Clarence Road side. Am I nit picking or does anyone else agree? Being far away from The Vic it is great to see the old stadium buzzing but as an old Town Ender it is great to see a largely fully Mill House buzzing. It gets better viewing if there is a decent away following but hey..

It would look better, but I doubt there's any chance of it happening. They've got a big area at the back of Blocks C & D in the Mill House that houses the cameras, radio commentators, journalists, Alex Chandy and the Pools match analyst. I guess they'd want to keep everything together and I can't see how there's be room at the top of the Cyril Knowles with the hospitality areas.

Incidentally, as soon as the first half finishes the match analyst trots down the steps and straight across the pitch into the home dressing room with his laptop under his arm. Modern football eh?

I totally agree with the points made, but apart from the point made about the comm’s set up already over the Mill House side, the higher height of the Mill House stand will give better coverage of action on the pitch.

Also with the cameras on the mill House side they're not looking into the sun, which they would be on the Clarence Road side.

Initially I used sit in the CK stand but the sun was a problem shining in your eyes, I moved over to the Mill House, much better view no sun but when the temperature drops it’s cold with the wind blowing of the sea.

Thanks folks for your comments. Never considered the sun I must admit. I think the point I was really making was that anyone watching Pools and not familiar with The Vic might think the crowd was sparse.

i did the opposite switch after we returned after the virus. its just the occasional sunny day thats the problem and only for a short part of it anyway. Seem closer to the action in the cyril knowles as well if you are sutting.

We're fading away, or find it hard to stand in the Town End all the time, even sitting down can be a pain in the arse literally...but that's life.

I think the Town End should be sponsored by Deepheat and Tramodol.

Think this is my last Season Ticket..I'll just be a glory hunter...Next season...but only if its warm or mild or me hips not killing me, or, me knees ,or, you get it.UTP .

never had a season ticket all my life. just cannot shell out money as i do not attend every game. can never understand people buying one unless they are going to attend most games if they are well enough to do so plus no interest in away tickets. thing is many seem to do it year after year.

People like to support the club even when they can't get there all the time.

thats fine if they can afford the money. many of us cannot and that includes those who never miss games. for some reason having a season ticket seems a far more popular option than it once did.

The concession (senior old git) price on my season ticket means if I see 18 out of the 24 home league games it is paid for - every game more than 18 is a 'freebie.' Having one also means that I retain my preferred seat all season and get first dibs at tickets for cup ties. I never expect to be able to get along to every game but I don't miss many, so it works for me.

Yes, it does mean I have to front up £260 in May and I appreciate some fans will think twice about doing that. Then again, the price of going out to see any other form of entertainment can be ridiculous. I support Durham CCC in the summer and like to get along and see England when they come to Chester-le-Street - but we drew the line at £70 a ticket for next season's T20 international - that's 23 quid an hour!
