Martin Hodge at Brighton in 92? Need to do some digging.

What a match that was. My memory thinks Hodge was sent off around 5 minutes into the match. The incident was a dive by their attacker, Kennedy, I think, outside of the area and marks in the pitch showed it but the ref, who had an absolute shocker, awards a penalty. John MacPhail goes in goal and saves the penalty. Plays an absolute blinder in goal. Brian Honour equalises for us in the last minute with a 25 yarder. At least that's what I seem to remember, but my memory may be lacking these days.

me and a couple of other lads were near the 18 yard box celebrating the goal with the Pools players!!!
You'd get a three year ban for it now

I think it was the first season after the majority of the fences came down and I remember most of us fans (not that there was that many of us, like) were dancing around on the pitch after wor Jackie scored. The game was like watching the seige of Rorke's Drift in Zulu. A day never to be forgotten!!
