Reuters breaking news,stop press etc.

No sign of new seats in Mill House Stand BUT the gangways have been painted YELLOW.
Personally i would have preferred orange.

So we are sitting in the gangways? Must be to give more room for the " NWC " elite to move around.

But will they have had two coats by the time the season starts, Carlisle ordered their yellow paint in March and have applied four, that’s four! coats of paint so far and they bought expensive stuff…. Barrow’s yellow paint has had three coats, decent stuff and on a three year contract….. yet here we are with just one coat, leaving us well behind our rivals, I can see us going into the season with one coat of yellow paint. Sort it Raj :angry-tappingfoot:

Come on guys, don't be so critical.
The seats are planned to be installed in July
As regards painting of yellow lines, gates etc there is one/ two volunteers been doing that.
The Mill House seats - 2 of us (volunteers) have removed 1500+ seats with nuts that were so corroded that we had to grind them off and believe me,when it takes you 10 minutes to remove the first one and then you look ahead at another 1500+- it's pretty daunting - ask the 6 guys from Hartlepool FC who gave up after removing about 50 how easy it was.
If you love our club, rather than criticise why don't you come down and help.

..err....sorry pal...but suspect you might have wildly misinterpreted the previous two posts to yours...think you're doing a fine job..absolutely no criticism of you intended at all..call it attempts at sarcastic humour...mols leaving because of a one coat only cheap paint job ?

OK sorry Poolie1, I just didn't get the sarcasm
Seriously though, there are "miles" of yellow lines to be painted aswell a gates, crush barriers etc.-basically there are 4 volunteers attempting to improve the look of the ground - any help would be appreciated.
Are you going to contribute to DS43 Community Defibrillators, by participating in the lottery draw for autographed seats ?

could understand any criticism if it aimed at contractors the club was employing on the cheap. anyone who knocks a pools volunteer doing what i,d imagine a real boring tedious job needs to re think or join em even for a short period of time.

..totally agree...mate...but on a serious point...and wouldn't want you to get the wrong end of the stick yet again...god forbid...but what about barrow having their paint put on in three coats ?...as snowy said...yes..three. .full...coats.. barrow ffs..surely yet again this is an example of the "cheap option" being chosen by the powers that be at pools..which has in fact been mentioned on here many many times before by several insightful sharp minded "honest as the days long" lads ...and as many now including snowy have pointed out..we are falling behind our rivals...the club has no ambition exemplified by this slap dash one coat only "paintgate" thing..and i do think maybe its no wonder mols left..maybe the paint job was in fact the last straw...he likes nice "no brainer" stadiums ...which he is entitled to expect as he plays in them i suppose..so do hope this adds some clarity to matters for you and anyone else interested like ...UTFP...thanks..

You’re doing a grand job, I’ve taken seats out and it’s a complete pig of a job, but we weren’t having a pop at you, just comparing the paint job to how certain posters go on about players and wrote in their style …… it was a mick take of the moaners who believe we miss out on everything, your innocuous yellow paint remark was too good not to use as a metaphor.

Mols, I am informed by a friend, who shall remain nameless (it’s tell tale Terry) said that Mols was incandescent with rage when he discovered that the yellow chosen was an egg shell finish colour called ‘puss yellow’ when he had specified he would not sign unless the colour ‘custard gold’ was used….pushed him into the arms of Doncaster.

You can’t get ‘custard gold’ for love nor money…… it’s reputed Carlisle bought up the entire stock in April to be league leaders in ‘walkway paint highlighting’ and could win the title in that league. Well done Carlisle, you deserved it, you recklessly splashed the cash (and paint too) and now you are reaping the rewards.
You heard it here first Waldorf.

no they jumped the gun as they believed the rumour that papa johns were pulling out of the trophy and johnstons paint were coming back. they,d do anything for a bye or an easy ride to the final.

Apparently even Darlo beat Pools by buying a 5 litre tin of matt black ‘trip in the dark/ glorious sunshine’ stealth paint.

You’re getting one of the new TSR2 models with a built in Cannon Ball Run super flush and Badger’s Arse toilet paper to discourage you from using it….. and a Teas-Made.

season ticket holders will be asked to bring their own paint out of the pools colour chart. we could follow the lead of york then.

All those people who rush to the bogs 15 minutes after they've sat down because the ale and the cold have got to them will be grateful for the innovation. There's no flies on Pools these days.

There’ll be plenty of flies on the seats if the wether warms up and they ‘leak’!

I agree, IOR made good use of available grants when they were in charge, the other thing about IOR the fans were kept up to date with press releases.
