Signed on a permanent deal by Port Vale after their promotion to League One. He had a bad ankle ligament injury that cut short his loan spell to them last season but is apparently fully recovered now.

Good look to the lad - he did great for us two seasons ago. Second best Pools loan signing from Newcastle ever (after Steve Harper)?

Cass will have a great Career in L1 id imagine - will get better. Odd one as even Newcastle had offered him a new contract so not like he was released - they still thought enough of him to give him more time.

See Notts County front man Wootton has joined Stockport too.
