I suppose the bright spot is that those halfwits up the road will be celebrating winning the league after 1 game again so we'll get a better laugh at them when they bollox it all up again

Im sure they wont be happy that we got beat.

Most of us would have liked Boyd in the squad, but it hasnt happened so lets just move on.

We have got Moore after all! banghead

i think you have to keep things in perspective. i suspect we wont be the last team to go to kenilworth road and get beat this season.

it may be a reality check for some people who thought we would stroll to promotion. monty for instance thought our first 3 games were very winnable, i felt they looked very tough. we wont be winning every week. this league is a quantum leap up in class from where we were playing last season. a defeat at luton is not the end of the world.

we need to concentrate on winning the home games, and picking up the odd point or three away.

wilson will ensure we grind out results, even if it isnt pretty to watch sometimes.

the main concerns today were with the team selection. when ben clark was out of the team last season we tended to lose. he was man of the match ( rightly or wrongly ) for the az game and gets benched.

having joel porter on the bench is just plain madness.

as for boyd, all the evidence suggests he will score goals at this level. he has every season he has played in division 3 and four. shame he isnt playing for us, but thats life. we have to get the best out of the players we have got. and we have more chance of doing that with our best players on the pitch, and not on the bench.

Good points there chip, however I have to disagree about Boyd, because a bet is a bet!

though it's a bit unfair to judge moore on one game (that we didn't watch) I agree with you

Porter created the only real chances today.

The majority of people do seem to think the Luton game was winnable. Shame we weren't more incisive.
Do you think we were never in with a hunt like?

Or could it be you just weren't at the game? rolfl rolfl rolfl

It's difficult to imagine anyone playing better than Boland did in that position Saturday.
Just a minute what do I mean by "that position" ... he was bloody well everywhere!

Of course he will. Or he should do if he has any ambition.

Ben Clark was a rock last season, better than nearly all of the rest of team. Yet he is one of the 5 replaced.

I wouldnt be happy if I were him.

And according to all of you he played well preseason.

Just out of interest: (Deveils advocate)

If we played THAT well on saturday......and had that much of the play........and we restricted Luton to a few efforts...............how come they still scored two?

I have seen the first goal, and I would question the defence on that one .......EVERYTIME.

stop moaning yer tart :uhoh:
