This is looking like this is becoming a problem again.
Hopefully we will have one next year for the right reasons.

I’m in favour of point’s deductions for pitch invasions. Fines don’t work and the attitude of aggression by some fans to opposition players and management in these situations is ridiculous, especially as they’re the ones allegedly celebrating.
Some clown on TV tried to defend their actions by blaming Covid for building up tensions in lockdown….f@#kwit.

I wasn't impressed by the pitch invasion at Ashton Gate last year if I'm honest. Whenever a team wins a play off there's another team that loses. I much prefer jubilation in the stands and laps of honour.

once these seemed to be light hearted joyous affairs but like many things we see nowadays they have started to have a dark element behind them. can never understand why anyone would attack even a fan from another club never mind an opposition player. the end of the day there is bound to be a knee jerk reaction to stop this that will end up costing all clubs, even those not involved.

even worse as before the game started millwall fans pushed open the gates so most would have got in free. they were not open about 30 minutes before kick off. could have ended up with many injured or worse. think that was more of an aggressive invasion unlike a few recently where the vast majority were celebrating and only a few knobheads spoilt it.

Notices around the ground saying pitch invasions will be met with fully trained stewards carrying AK47's and prepared to use them.

Sorry remind me what the question was?

If Millwall were based somewhere like Lancashire or Nottinghamshire they'd have got kicked out the league years ago. No other club has had more "second chances" than then.

been to both the dens and find them no worse than burnley or mansfield fans. in fact far better than the latter. a case of giving a dog a bad name without seeing or knowing the dog. more fashionable to knock millwall that say even one bad word against the scousers.

I seen the scousers justifying the booing of the national anthem the other night on Question Time. The usual hard done to scousers - Hillsborough blah, blah blah.

Memories are very short round there.

Liverpool favourite song for years....
Whose that lying on the runway,
whose that dying in the snow.
Well its busby and his boys making such a f***ing noise,
cos they can't get their aeroplane to go.

There's a song about Heysel too, something along the lines of 39-0.

I briefly caught something on telly with a sign in the background declaring they are scousers not English, seriously…?

Always the victims! The silence from Everton over the disgraceful scenes against Palace are deafening. Some of the incidents not reported in the media ( probably because Fat Frank is their hero): Benteke slapped, Eze chased by fan who put a flare near his face: Zaha abused, Clyne targeted for being ex-Liverpool, Palace fan still in hospital having suffered seizures brought on by being hit by a flare thrown at Palace fans. All this when match was still in progress. What are the media going overboard about? Vieira kicking a moron.
Personally I feel Palace should have walked off, conceded the game taken a fine and sued the a**e off Everton and the PL.
Rant over, sorry for invading your forum again. Anyway we had a reasonably good season and hopefully onwards and upwards. Hope you have a better season next year.
Take care everyone and enjoy your summer, with permission will dip in now and again
All the best

they love being the victims and glory in it. anything they do thats naughty seems to be put firmly under the carpet like SE 25 has said about the blue scouse. any OTT songs and chants are regarded as good old scouse humour. got a feeling that the outcome of the bradford fire would have been much different if either scouse clubs had it happening to them. if only they didn,t have the most grateing accent in the country and get the same bad publicity as the rest do then i might start warming slightly to them.

I'm sure anyone reading this board would be happy for you to dip in and out anytime you want. I didn't go to Selhurst Park this season - only time I have been to SP was when you beat us 6-1 in the League Cup last century (I am almost over it now) - I did watch it on TV. The atmosphere was fantastic, the respect your club and fans showed to our club and our fans once the draw was made was nothing short of fantastic and has made such a great impression on Poolies everywhere.

Best of luck to Palace next season.

What I'd like to know is how come the idiot supporter who nutted a player was very quickly tried, convicted and sentence to 6 months while the idiot player who stood on a supporter's head and the idiot manager who knocked someone to the ground got off ?

I am obviously biased but Vieira was never going to face charges, as this would have left the door open for Everton to be fed to the wolves, why? Let me try to explain:
Palace had asked Evertonto use the tunnel, this was refused due to COVID! This meant that the Palace staff had to walk across the pitch to get to their changing rooms. They were offered no protection, despite there already having been a pitch invasion when players were assaulted. Everton were aware of the impending invasion but chose to do nothing. They are expected to ensure the security of opposition, they did not.
Referee Anthony Taylor refused Palace request to take players off the field, no explanation has been forthcoming.
Was Vieira wrong? Possibly but was provoked and was unaware what may happen. Do we know full extent of abuse? No. Coukd well have been racial.
Moron who was kicked did not want to press charges, big deal!
Is he an idiot? Absolutely not, imo the only idiotic thing he did was allow the moron to be able to get up.
Is hardly the same as an unprovoked attack which required Sharp to receive medical treatment. Only my opinion, of course

It is an offence for any spectator, without permission, to enter the field of play.
In doing so he or she may give the impression that the illegal entry was intended to perpetrate an attack on a player or official and, in such circumstance, it is perfectly understandable if the people who are entitled to be on the pitch do take up a defensive posture to defend themselves.
The best way available to prevent an attack on a spectator by anyone on the pitch is for that spectator to refrain from going on to it.
This problem emanates itself in all walks of life due to the fact that some people think the rules don't apply to them.

I think all those Man City supporters who came on the pitch should be banned for 10 year and given Man United season tickets.
That will teach them.......

Bring back the birch i say!!!!

usually in life people go forward. the problem is that there is a good minority that are dragging us back to the bad old days especially in football. knowing now that reactions are mainly knee jerk reactions i fear for the game in the future.

more interested in getting a quick getaway to avoid traffic. used to be something reserved for kids that has been took over by adults with similar brain development.

Last time I went to the Den there was trouble in the Millwall end caused by a transvestite. Said he was a Millwall fan but had a Wigan address.
