I had heard the same elsewhere unfortunately. It shows how far Pools have come as a team mind you!!!

Both are great players. With strength in depth like that and our players supposed great fitness levels we should be finishing games quite strongly

not that wilson would play moore ahead of porter if they were both fit. that would be madness.

So are you going to wait until the team is announced on Poolsworld before you decide to go along to the ground?

Moore is one of those amazing footballers - a striker who never scores. All heart and loved by fans for that but at both Burnleh and Leeds he really couldn't find the net. They always end up playing wide right (or left) in my experience. But that's no excuse not to turn up.

I'm trying not to comment on such issues, I don't know a lot about Moore except that he doesn't seem to score that often (not in the last couple of years anyway). I'd like Potrer to be in the team, not only for his pace but his interchange and work rate is usually very good also......

I still think we should of signed Boydy though.......

Chip, I can understand your concern about Joel. Without doubt I would play him and Barker from the start. Or even him and Moore if he looks to be a more likely scorer, as the season goes on, from what WLWH says that seems to be unlikely. But your disbelief at Clark possible being on the bench is harder to understand. Do you think we should stand by last seasons pairing of Nelse & Clark, and leave Antwi on the bench? Personally I would start with Clark and Antwi, with Nelson on the bench. Now that would say to me how strong our squad is.

my comment wasnt meant as a slur on either moore or barker, im sure they will both give 100 per cent in every game they play. however charging 20 quid a game has raised the bar. sorry but for that kind of money i expect to be entertained.

Entertained for 20 quid. Even a blow job is going to cost you way more than that. blastt

Right my team for tomorrow, or today........

Budtz

Antwi Nelson Clark

Brown Liddle Boland Humphreys Porter

Moore Barker

subs: Lee-Barrett McCunnie Sweeney Foley Elliott

Liddle and Humphreys falling back into full back roles if and when required.

Don't think about it Chip, otherwise you will be lost to the 'dark side'.

You don't want to be a 'middle class', 'middle england' television watching premiership football 'fan'.

I never believe what I read in the newspapers. Even the adverts. Particularly the weather forecast.

Danny hasn't told anyone, even the players, who's playing so it's for sure the Mail doesn't know.

But the Go Team is an excellent call for £13 - can you get me a ticket chip?

Why do you feel the need to have go at a player before a ball is even kicked ?

" to be fair to the go team despite signing for a major they have stayed loyal to the kids and the indie label that signed them initially. "

I do like the go team's first album and their energy. I wonder if they have staying power but for now they would be an excellent night out.

New album reviewed in the Observer Music Monthly today chip and given a full 5 stars - reviewer says better than their first so my fears look totally unfounded.

As for the game - we looked like a Div 1 side, tranmere like they may have played at a higher level throughout the first half.

Don't expect pretty football from LUFC this year. Big strong guys, fit and playing hoofball is likely to be the standard fair and probably well suited to our predicament. In the end we overpowered Rovers and looked like the only winners but it could have been very different so just grateful to get off to a great start. And whilst I'm obviously biased a full stand of LUFC fans behind the goal has got to be good for this division. I know rovers fans talking amongst them selves as I left the ground were impressed by our support and the resulting atmoshere. We are incredibly united just now - we have a million miles to travel but at least we have taken the first step. Leeds in Div2 (4) would make me weep - no conceipt intended on my part just total and utter sadness at what we've had and lost. But yesterday was for me just a great day out. And rovers have a nice ground.

By the way I am now listening to Roy Ayers - Destination Motherland (An Anthology). I come to much in music late in my life so find anthologies a terrific way to get at the best and 'best ofs' are especially good on the i_pod I reckon!
