In many ways I would rather be at Luton than possing around at the wicket for a few overs this afternoon, but my cricket team a bit like POOLS wanting to avoid relegation and a sneaky win and a few draws would do it.

I really feel optimistic this season, but feel Danny if he is to play 442 will have a tough job keeping Nelse, Antwi, Clark, Humphries & Elliott happy this season. Still I hope this season:

1. Fans support Matty Robson
2. Someone other than Barker can score goals
3. We can both play keep ball along the back line & where necessary fast incisive breaks.

I really see POOLS as being the surprise best footballing team in division 1. Why oh Why I am so optimistic given the dreadful times we have had at Luton in recent years - at least Steve Howard will not be bullying our defence today and Boydy has departed!

Good luck lads

My hopes are

1) To stay in league one comfortably, a play off push would be nice.

2) I would like pools to take the JPT seriously for a change, there's no reason why we can't have a good run in it. It would be nice to have a decent run in one of the other cups as well.

3) For every football fan in the country to travel sensibly, take care and return home safely after the games.
