I reckon

Budtz

McCunnie Nelson Antwi Elliot
Brown Clark Liddle Humphries
Porter Barker

That could change to 4-3-3 though with Brown pushing forward

Subs Lee Barret, Sweeney, Moore, Boland, Foley

Personally I'd pick

GK Lee-Barrett
RB McCunnie
LB Elliott
CB Clark
CB Nelson or Antwi - can't decide
RW Brown
LW Humphreys
CM Boland
CM Liddle
CF Barker
CF Porter

But I think that DW will pick

GK Budtz
RB McCunnie
LB Elliott
CB Nelson
CB Antwi
RW Sweeney
LW Brown
CM Liddle
CM Clark
CF Barker
CF Moore

I am slightly surprised with the riches we apparantly have, that some of you think DW will play Clark in midfield.

When did this all come about?

The Alkmaar game.

I'm worried that he's doing a Scott to try and fit in his supposed best players even if some are out of position, ie making a space for Nelson by playing Clark in midfield.

If you all want Budtz to play I hope to God that none of the teams we play against will put crosses into the box.

None of you seem to have considered the possibility of a different formation than 4-4-2. I think DW will go for a 3-5-2 formation and accomodate Clark, Nelson and Antwi at the back, as follows;

Budtz
Clark Antwi Nelson
McCunnie Sweeney Liddle Boland Humphries
Barker Brown

With this formation McCunnie would play right wing back which means Brown will have to move up front. Liddle will play the holding role in front of the back three. DW has mentioned that he may play different formations this season and I think he will have the team ready to change during the course of the game depending on how it progresses.

Left wing.

He's far and away the best left winger that we have.

in place of humphries?
I can see the benefits of playing with 3 centre backs 3 5 2 style it would give sweeney and brown more freedom to go forward.
and then ben clark can be this years eiffion williams and get subbed after 60 minutes of every game.

Deffo for me like.

I like Ritchie, but he's not as good a left winger as Monkhouse.

Godwin has a bit of pace and might be a canny right back.

I was speaking to someone 'in the know' and apparently Antwi is to be the first name on the teamsheet so to speak. Ben Clark is apparently going to make way

Disgraceful if true.

I've said it before and will again, Clark is twice the footballer Nelson is.

The AZ game proved it. As good a lower league stopper as Nelson is he doesn't read the game anywhere near as good as Clark (or Antwi for that matter) does.

I agre that Clark is quality, and would hate to see him make way for someone else.
He's also craking at penalty taking.

He is like. Got the same bungee rope round his waist stopping him coming for crosses but makes some good Match of the Day saves.

How many were kicked off the line versus AZ?

What do we think the pools team is going to be on Saturday?

I havent seen any friendlies so cant form a judgement.

What do you ladies think then?

Got it on good authority  that its going to be Barker and Moore to start up front.

Elliot and Richy H. down the left-McCunnie and Brown on the right.-Nelse and Antwi in the middle.

Midfield is still in the melting pot. :sweeeet:
