Will we be happy with a point? Will we get a point?

Clean sheet and a point away from home is a decent result.

Why am I watching these teams at the bottom of the league and thinking there’s absolutely nothing to beat here? Standard is horrific.

Not good enough going forward. No hold up play. The new lad needs a bit more time obviously. Set pieces poor apart from the last one where we could have scored. Might be a useful point come the end of the season.

You could have watched this one on Pools iFollow. Whereas on Saturday the OS didn't let fans know the game was being streamed by Bristol Rovers - I suppose because they get a bit of income with Chandy and Co. commentating but none if they aren't. :naughty:

Yep - a bore draw point towards safety. We take that to be fair. Now can we please sign someone who can beat a man?

Odusina defended really well but equally looks so unorthodox and prone to error whenever the balls at his feet. It doesn’t help he’s not left footed playing that position.

He probably keeps his position for Saturday but he’s no where near as convincing as Byrne is on the other side.

Odosina was man of the match for me, apart from one slight mix up he battled all the way.

I have to agree Odusina put in a fine defensive display. Almost convinced me into thinking hes turned a corner. Jurys still out on him due to his footballing ability overall but fair play to the lad he defended well an did what was asked of him all the way through. His passing wasnt too bad either. But… Carlisle are woeful. Really bad team
And deserve to be in the NL after that. Ogle is dodgy but deserved that chance at the end to of been a goal. Crawford went missing again when we really needed his forward passing. Game was there for us tonight had Carvers fitness not let us down.
Cullen offers nothing for me. Seen enough of him to warrant he needs to
Go come the summer. Too small for that hoof ball shite we tried most the game.
Ill take a point. Killip made some decent saves aswell. Pat on the back from
Me which is rare.
Anyways utfp and onto the next one. Must win home game !

ONE win in ELEVEN League 2 matches now. Both Rovers and Carlisle AWFUL as well.

No win in 5. Failed to score in the 4, games against teams below us. Can I panic yet?

He was fantastic in the play offs odusina but he does make these horrendous errors now and again. We have had way worse than him over the years, certainly have to start him against Palace who will have bundles of pace.

Massive point for us when we only have 4 away all season, we are in a massive fight now until the end of the season, a daft 1 nil on saturday to us iof course, worrying thaf we dont seem to be able to beat the bottom sides now.

No you can't judge us at the end of the transfer window said the CEO. In other words we will sign a couple on 31st of January.

Can we get something straight about Odosina, he was my man of the match last night, not for the season, a subtle concept which may make some people’s brains hurt.
I’ve never been an advocate of the dumb and dumber philosophy of ‘good player always good, bad player always bad’ beloved by some on here.

pools looked leggy last night. carlisle looked bloody dire. if only we had some big massive lump up front i,m sure we,d have won last night and picked up more points from games from scunthorpe onwards, its so easy for opposition defenders when the ball is in the air. whilst pools did have most of the ball they never looked dangerous. those who cannot wait for new faces in the side, do you want someone who odusina had in his pocker for 90 minutes. we got a point so move on to improving stevenage on saturday.

It was a dire game last night, looked fairly solid at the back apart from some daft misplaced passes in tight areas but that could be down to Carlisle being so poor. There is just no spark in that team, work man like midfield who aren't the most creative and nobody with pace running at the opposition,Burey would have probably won us the game or a player in his mould. We played some great one touch football in second half of Blackpool game but can reproduce that in league games for some reason. On that performance we are going to continue struggling unfortunately. Absolutely desperate for some flair, getting it in seems to be the problem.

we played a lovely game of keep ball - the type of shit we need to be playing when 1-0 up. Unfortunately it doesnt happen. Even the commentator on Ifollow kept passing jokes on how much Killip had seen the ball. A point away to them is decent for now. Just hope we win at weekend

They had a lot of men behind the ball as teams at the bottom will if they are well organised. We need more pace and physicality to break them down. More threat at set pieces too. For me we still need at least 4 reasonable signings before the window closes including an experienced forward and an attacking midfielder. Both need to be capable of winning the ball in the air as we won nothing in the last third last night at all.

He's just been released by Kettering Town, also of the National League North. Nice lad, hope he makes a go of it at Spenny.

two bloody awful sides on the night that showed the reason for their league positions. both gearded up to just about limp over the line. this season i do not think the magic 50 points will be be needed. 45 should see anyone safe.

yeh totally agree - i think we will both scrape over the line. My worry is we still have to play alot of teams who are in form and sit top of the table. We could do with that little burst of form now to see us sit nicely mid table. Id be throwing everything we have at the weekends game as its a must win. Thankfully its at the Vic. Carver cant start either hes way off it just now and this game is too important. Id actually have Fela playing over him just now. Cullen for me shouldn't start either

We need five wins and a draw to get to 45, surely we are capable of doing that. Seven wins gets us to 50.

Our next 7 League games :

So looking at those fixtures i reckon we could potentially be picking up 10 points possibly 11 with a shock draw at Crawley or Sutton.

Stevenage (H) must win game which we should be winning
Exeter (A) Tough game would take a draw if lucky
Barrow (H) Must win game which we should win
Crawley(A) Crawley not doing bad cant see us getting a point
Tranmere (H) Tranmere flying cant see us winning that
Sutton (A) Sutton flying cant see see us getting any points on the board
Colchester (A) Colchester in dire form - should get a point out of this game.

I can see us only getting 6 points, 9 at a push if we win at Colchester. Not sure how you get to 10 or 11?

Stevenage (H) win 3 points
Exeter (A) loss
Barrow (H) win 3 points
Crawley(A) draw 1 point
Tranmere (H) loss
Sutton (A) loss (possible draw to gather that random other point?)
Colchester (A) win 3 points

they might but i,m sure by the end of the season pools will have a shock away victory like the bradford one as well. possibly it will be totally unexpected after a home hammering.
