If it was easy to get a train through to Stockton I might bother myself, but I'm not driving on a weekend cos it's alcohol time and I wouldn't get on a pissridden bus even if it was free.

What times do they run like?

I thought that they stopped running about tea-time?

Its a free gig Aly,even if you dont like the headliners theres plenty of local bands getting a chance.I reckon theres 3 or 4 bands worth a look on each day.

SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST
20:50 Echo and the Bunnymen
They’re back, they’re brilliant and they’re still cool as hell. Pay your respects to Messrs McCulloch and Sergeant!

19:45 Archie Bronson Outfit
Dirty, nose-down garage-punk sleaze – think a British Kings Of Leon. ‘Magnificently evil’ – TimeOut

19:00 We Start Fires
NME, BBC 6 Music, The Guardian… they’ve all fallen for WSF’s girly poppy punky charms. Are you next?

18:15 The Hitchers

17:30 Idiot Savant
Think Nick Cave crossed with The Fall. With beards and braces. In Middlesbrough Library. Sort of…

16:35 Wildcats of Kilkenny
Stomp along to Mike and Boys – Teesside’s kings of fiddle-de-dee and blustering blarney!

15:50 Gangsters of Ska

15:05 Dave Acari

14:20 New Age Jam

13:40 The Domineeky Sound Cru

12:50 Principul

12:00 TBC

is he on flup, or are you being obstreperous?!
maybe he's changed his name to TBC in which case you better be quick!!!

or maybe he's on the acoustic stage....?????

in other words, I aint gotta clue!

Something that annoyed me this year was the way they have fenced it off to stop you bring drink in & their 'bar' is pouring cans of Carling into plastic glasses for £2.50 a go. refred
If you want punters to use your bar then serve proper pints!

I've been doing standy up drums for about a year now Kev,made sense cos all i was playing was bass/snare/cymbals anyways...
means hi-hats go,but so what? hi-hays are shit anyways!!

Groovy, its a total con innit? did the same at MML too.
at least we had beers backstage and our pwn booze there too so we could pour it into cups and go into the main bit with our own booze...

whence I'd ran out and had to use the bar they were warm an all

Stand up drumming is the coolest of ice Mr Salt.

May I refer you to the wonderful Jellyfish as well as the incomparable Violent Femmes. You need to start with brushes though.  And jack your floor tom up to waist height.

Not rest it on your Jack though, use the feet.   Although I dunno, after the key and foot incident.............

bad planning, running out of bevvy like...no rider?? confised confised

Looked like a good one to me.
Anyone see The Archie Bronson Outfit?
Their cd is well worth a listen, someone downloaded it for me last year.

Let me check here.....you've got a rider, you've got a big drum/good hiding place. They've only got guitar cases.......

And you share it out???

Our keyboard player had a keyboard not longer than 18" so he could have that under one arm and fight us off with the other......   This after he'd emptied his Mams medicine cabinet.

Whatever happened to rock and roll.......
