Can I sound a bit mad here, but if was mega rich I’d invest in Pools out of love for the club. Of course anyone casting aspersions about my intentions would be barred for this life and the next.
Seriously, if I was one of these mega lottery winners there’s a list of things I’d make donations to, because unless you have a ego the size of the moon you’d be hard pressed to blow it all on fripperies. So Pools is on my list. It would be money expended without any return, but just to hear ‘We are The Champions’ at the Vic even once, would be worth every penny.
But there are people out there who bought clubs out of love for their club and gave it security. But like a rescue dog, I’d prefer if it was an established club on hard times and not one of these manufactured model kit clubs with all the support of a rubber crutch.

Agree with all of that.

Me and our kid have a strict pact on the Euromillions, any winnings 40% for me, 40% for him and 20% on Pools. So if it was a £100 million win we would put £20 million into the club. Far more awkward is the usual £11.86 wins. First of all it pushes our mathematical skills to the limited and then leaves the awkward decision of how to invest the £2.37. Normally end up being a couple of extra lottery tickets or a foot long.

However, if you end up buying food then do you have to knock off the cost of that food to the club as you might only be donating £1.50 to the club and not £2.37.

A complete nightmare so it would be far simpler if we just win the jackpot tonight and buy the club! £76m so thats erm.... a few bob available to invest in Pools.

You're a good lad but like your Grandad used to say, there is always an exception to the rule and Coxhall isn't on any Poolie's Christmas card list and you're not on a yellow card.
My heart skipped a beat though when Mr I used the word "was" in reference to Coxhall.

Wishful thinking mate!

Can’t we erect a statue of Coxless on Longscar Rocks with a plaque saying ‘A DANGER TO SHIPPING AND EVERYTHING ELSE’. ?

If you check on the Insolvency Register it looks like the lovely Mr Coxall is still bankrupt - discharge has been suspended indefinitely. Same d.o.b etc as 'our' Mr Coxall so assume it's him. Used to work for the Official Receivers and a suspended discharge probably means he has not answered their questions or given them the info they demanded. Until he obeys he is bankrupt, can't get credit / be a director, if he does either and gets caught he'd get prosecuted. So though I'd prefer he was locked up theres the small comfort he does have that hanging over him forever.
