Maybe they aren't as good as everyone thought - Boro are 2-0 up after 20 minutes......

yeah but that will be because the AK players are too knackered after getting the run around last week!

How is it a negative spin? All I am saying is that Boro were (whether they still are or not phuq knows) beating AZ comfortably - Thats all.

And drawing with the Dutch runners up is one thing but at present we are still getting beat by Rotherham.....

The way some people on here go on, it's like you can't say anything remotely concerning about hapenings at Pools.

That's not all you were saying though, is it?! You were saying it means Alkmaar aren't very good and a 1-1 draw with them wasn't as impressive as first thought.

I'm not saying AZ aren't any good, but maybe they were playing well within their comfort zone. it doesn't matter anyway until next week....

It's a pre-season friendly FFS, it really is of no consequence.

Maybe they're just not trying.

After all their manager thinks that the match against Hartlepool would have been harder than Boro, so they'd have turned down the heat a bit. Nothing to worry about here.

they were technically good, but if the 2 lads playing up front for them were their first choice strikers then god help them.

I actually thought that their two strikers looked decent, we could do with their pace and trickery
