Some great chances not put away again but that was never a foul which their free kick led to the goal.

it was a foul but how many times have we all seen them not given. yes, far more than whats given. however it should have been defended better as challinor more or less said. suppose you cannot blame the defence too much as they have looked quite tight after the two goals conceeded at eastleigh. its the other end of the pitch where there is a problem. someone needs to help armstrong in getting a fair share of the goals and can see him getting really clobbered before the season is out. especially at the vic, stop him and you stop pools.

Quite a lot said at the start of the season the standard of forwards for a club our size was pathetic really, we managed to get a good one in, changed our season round immediately, imagine if we could bring that lad from Bromley in, we would go from a play off team to a promotion team. I’m shocked he dropped white for featherstone, two games in a row we dominated midfield without him.

Agree about White - guess there must be a reason, but I can't see it. Some selections continue to baffle me, but DC is delivering overall so let's trust him.

Challinor said in his post-match interview that White wasn't so much dropped as given a breather - he played the full 90 minutes for 5 games in 18 days for Pools after not featuring for months on loan at Bolton.

Agree he has been a good signing for Pools and his best game so far was against Barnet - although Barnet's midfield was rubbish to be fair. Pools didn't convert enough chances against them, same reason we only got a draw at Halifax. I wouldn't be surprised if both White and Featherstone start against Torquay.

We have one goal scoring striker at the club and no back up, either from the bench or from the rest of the team.
Oh for a box to box Sweeney type.
When we were discussing our wasted chances at the start of the season I said we don't want to get to the end of the season saying "what if".
That still stands.
We should be sitting on four straight wins and a far better goals for column. We could also be top of the league going to Torquay. That is how far or how close we are.
Fine margins indeed.

Holohan has been terrible for the last 6/7 games so him, for me should be out and White back in.

Holohan having a nightmare time and had been having one for weeks. White and Molyneux way in front of him and Luke Williams when he is back to fitness

actually expected much more this season from holohan and molyneux. the former started well and the second has not really got going. know he was out ill but has just not kicked off again. both chipped in regularly at the back end of last season and if both could re capture that form then we would be fine.
