Accrington game already postponed due to frozen pitch.
Not faraway so probably be a failed inspection.
Mite not be a bad thing.
Chance to recharge the batterys then get the 3 PTS v Wealdstone on the 9th.
UTP.

Forecast to be -1 at 9am and only 1 degrees above freezing at 3pm, looks ominous to me. Also Durham FA ref down for the game , so probably get local ref in for inspection, Halifax like us have played lots of games lately , I think you know the rest

Yep. On the official Twitter feed now.

The win at Notts County might be Pools' last competitive action for a while. A full national lockdown in January is probably only a few days away, judging by what the NHS and virologists are saying.

Will be typical Pools luck to be stopped in their tracks in the middle of their best form of the season.

I'd imagine elite sport would be immune from these restrictions like they were before.

Still shite for our momentum though considering the current form.

thats if the government still regard the national league as part of elite sports. could be yet another change of direction from them to exclude it and just concentrate on premier and football league clubs.

My gut feeling is that neither side really fancied it today.

I don’t know which side of the fence I’m on. Are we going to appreciate the little break? Or would we rather have played and kept up the momentum?

If some of the other games go ahead at least we will have a better indication of where we sit in the table with other teams having games in hand.

with the weather we have had over the last few days down here it would have taken a big effort to get this game on and then it could have been a bit of a lottery with parts of the pitch different from others.

As I say, totally get why they wouldn't want to play it , but think a week ago they would've made the effort, but think the grind of the last couple of weeks has probably caught up with both clubs, even the refs, probably not a bad thing all round that game called off, just means I am stuck for something to do now between 230pm and 5pm.

We'll still be second at 5pm as only Sutton could jump us and their game off too, so second will do me  .https://youtu.be/IT09DGuXwYQ

same with me. i live only 10 miles from the shay by road and i doubt the game would have gone ahead anyway as we got over an inch in about 30 minutes. at least my husky x alaskan malumute enjoyed it.

Confirmed tonight that the NL, NLN and NLS seasons will continue under Tier 5 as elite sports. All the leagues further down the pyramid are suspended. Their players can't even train together.

most of these teams are part time anyway. what i do not know is if part timers are guarenteed any money at all as this must be classed as a second job. there season anyway must be over with this 7 week break and i cannot see any promotion or relagation happening in these leagues. a knock on affect in our league with possible no one going down. pools are saved again.

I think if (touch wood) no bad weather occurs the NL seasons will finish. The divisions below that have zero chance of finishing now and I'd imagine the NLN and NLS will have no relegation.

there must be another club we haven,t played who have a free week. brining games forward seems revolutionary thing to do nowadays. you think all clubs should be encouraged to do this in all leagues to help in the future backlog.

15 national League teams in FA Trophy.
Rearranged fixture for 16 Jan:
Maidenhead v Yeovil
Wrexham v Dover.
Maybe Eastleigh Weymouth or Barnet dident want to play an inform Pools.
To be fair to the National League they been on the ball rearranging postponed games.

Forecast minus 5 at 7am.
Imagine it depends how good the covers are.

3 degrees at 3pm, ref should take that into account when making inspection. Forecast a bit of sun tomorrow morning, so need to get them covers off at 9am and allow the pitch to breathe and dry out.
