Just heard on the sport that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp employs a full time throw-in coach. Now I'd like to know a) Where you can take a course in becoming one
b) How much Premier League clubs pay their throw-in coaches.
The idea of being one seems quite appealing to me, picture today's lesson 'timewasting' when leading a game:-
a)Pick up or flick up ball into hands.
b) Whether ball needs it or not proceed to stick it up your shirt in a vain attempt to clean/dry it.
c) Turn towards your keeper and pretend to throw it to him.
d) Shuffle along the line at least 10 yards and hope the ref whistles and sends you back.
e) Make 3 or 4 failed practice throws.
f) Move another 5 yards further up the line.
g) Make another 2 or 3 failed practice throws.
h) Turn and engage in witty banter with the home crowd.
i)Throw it in the top corner into space to waste as much time as possible.

Simples.......

In fact I'll offer my services as a throw-in coach to Pools free of charge/voluntary, we can then be the only team in the National League with a full time throw-in coach

i,ll offer my services as a time wasting coach. i have learned so much more over the last few seasons about it on top of what i already knew. pools could be really revolutionary then.

Not sure we need a throw in coach, if anyone can remember Chalinor from his Tranmere (?) days.
He could certainly hoy a ball some distance if my memory serves me correctly.

Also putting my name forward for the 'placing the ball in the corner quadrant' coach, as that seems fairly simple, you just place it outside the quadrant.

He has enough to think about, and as I'm an expert at it I am quite happy to take that responsibility over. As my new degree from the Open University of Kuala Lumpar now testifies. bbolt

What we really need is a 'roughing up the opposition within the rules of the game' coach. We always seem to be at a disadvantage on this front compared to other teams.
So anybody who is well versed in standing on another players foot at corners, pulling shirts on the blindside, shielding a ball without falling over and making soft tackles look nasty please put your name forward.
