Working class tories use margarine , surely ? Butter was created by some leftie ancient Greek , for the sole use of Socialists. That's where the term , spreading the word comes from. Margarine was invented by some capitalists in France in the 19th century in a cost cutting exercise that led to cheap butter ( margarine ) flooding the market and eventually led to thousands losing their jobs in the local butter making industry. Very soon an underclass emerged with many dying as a result of spreading cheap, inferior , often poisonous, margarine on their croissants.
