Australian bombing suspect released because Scotland Yard told the Aussies a pack of lies.

Copper arrested and charged with 12 counts of blackmail.

Copper arrested and charged with punching a bloke to death in a pub.

Then two judges under investigation for trying to frame a cleaner.

The thin blue line eh??

How do we really know that? We only hear what we hear, who knows what goes on unreported. Well Cornelius probably does but no one else.

Oh no, no not me. You can't blame dumb animals, you can blame bent coppers. The worst criminal of all.

There was a good thing on Police dogs the other day. This solicitor had driven home pissed but he must have narked someone in the pub 'cos they phoned the filth and they were lying in wait. He shot off up a farm lane in his 4x4 and then did a runner. The filth got the dog out and tracked him home and did him for drink driving. He claimed that a senior female policewoman that he was shagging was driving but refused to name her. Anyway that's by the bye. The dog's handler said that the dog only picked up one scent off the car door but unfortunately had to admit that the dog had been put down for savaging a sergeant in training.

Pity it only savaged one, if it had got three I'd have campaigned for a commendation for it.

Power mad perverts the lot of 'em.

Aye bad apples in a barrel of grapes and all that.

Now I've had my run ins with the police in my younger days but in comparison with the coppers around the world I don't think our police do too bad. The fact that these cases are such big news is that they are unusual. Coppering is one of the few jobs around where people join because they want to make a difference, it certainly ain't for the money!

A couple of weeks ago I went out with a lad I used to work with, he's 36, mariied with two bairns. He was a graphic designer/studio manager but he decided he wanted a complete career change so he's become a copper.

The night I met up with him he had just that day finished his initial training. His patch will be the Sheffield area. Now it may be that I didn't know him as well as I thought I did, but he was like a different person.

He's a big strong bloke, and one of the things he said to me was 'I can't wait to kick the shit out of someone'. He just wasn't the sort of bloke to throw his weight around, but evidently he feels like he can now. Very sad indeed.

Incidentally, his patch will involve covering Hillsborough home games. As part of his training he had to watch footage of the 1989 disaster, really horrible stuff - all the crushings and corpses being pulled out and things like that. He said that it was without doubt the fault of the police that the disaster occurred. Apparently that year they completely changed the policing strategy for some unknown reason, and that's why wrong decisions were made on the day. 90-odd lives needn't have been lost, which makes the tragedy even worse to know that it was completely preventable.

They nick people for anything these days and try and pin things on innocent people, not all cops are bad but I definetly think that the power of being a copper is hat appeals to many people who apply, and sadly the people who crave the power are probably the last ones who should have it.......

There's a blog on the net by a copper called Inspector Gadget. Have a read. He refers to the public as 'sheep.' Now you may take that as he regards himself as a shepherd but he refers to the Police as 'llamas' and criminals as 'foxes.'

I've never read such a panoply of self-pitying rubbish in all my life. It's everyone's fault, the CPS, the lawyers, the public, the Home Office, the top brass, you name it.

There's another one called David Copperfield. Moans like a ten bob whore.

In their defence I will say that they have had all their discretion taken away, on the other hand, they have let it happen. It does however appear that it has become 'us and them' and they don't draw the distinction between the criminal and the public. We're all just 'them.'
