Post subject: Season Tickets - EFL Statement

I see the EFL have announced they intend to finish their season but with all games behind closed doors. They have also said all games will be broadcast many of them via a streaming partner. Presumably the NL will follow suit.

No mention of whether there will be costs for the streaming service, but they surely have to provide this free for anyone who is a season ticket holder and has already paid to watch the game ?

Also stated they think games will be behind closed doors for some time, suggesting next season could start that way.
This has to be of a major concern to smaller clubs and none of them will be able to sell season tickets and that is their main source of income.

I know the Premier League have sent the NL £2 million, and that works out at around £59k for Pools, but I cant imagine that isn't going to last long given our wage bill.

Also forgot to add if NL games end up behind closed doors and streamed via the website isn't that a bad time to be sacking an excellent Media Manager.

Can you imagine if Mark Maguire end up running the Media Department ? A game played in August we will probably get the footage a day before Christmas with half of it missing.

It seems they'll be broadcast via a service named Ifollow? Maybe I'm pessimistic but I don't see it happening, players will just refuse to turn up and it won't cover a lot of clubs shortfalls either way.

As for us, well, Stelling penned this recently https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.c ... -per-game/

Eight players under contract, suppose we could fill the holes with youths? I certainly don't see the NL finishing.

The NL proposed a vote last week and according to BBC the majority of clubs want the season to finish now. There will then be another vote to decide on whether there should be promotion, relaegation and the play offs.
Cant see how a play off would work as Barnet are not in the play off places as it stands but still have eleven games left to play and probably would be in the topt 7 if they played their games in hand.

Some elderly people dont have an internet connection so surely this should be on some freeview channel even just highlights would be better than nothing.
Radio coverage?

I'd imagine for the EFL Quest would still have the rights. I think radio coverage may also be contracted, so I'd assume that'd still happen.

Yeah, nearly all leagues below NL had teams with crazy numbers of games in hand due to storm ciara. I'd like to see the season finish behind closed doors but I honestly see it becoming null and void. Question then is what happens to Bury's placement in the EFL?

I think everyone other than Harrogate agrees Barrow should replace Bury.
