.......funny, the effect you can get by a few omissions, isn't it?
This is how Scotty's career looks to Boro (via a rivals post)

'...Scott, 39,..... went on to take Hartlepool to a Division One play off final in May 2005, during an 8-month stint as manager at Victoria Park....
He has managerial experience from his time with Hartlepool'

Nice try but a professional spin doctor would have done it even better.
"Scott has proved his adaptability by showing he is capable of managing a team at both ends of the league table."

Scott has proved his adaptability at getting sides out of their current division

He proved beyond doubt that he can make a really good team play to the limit of its ability.

I'm not saying whether it was upper or lower limit, mind you.

'Martin Scott succeeded in evading accusations of being a useless bounder by getting battered by Hartlepools Ben Clark in the changing rooms after another abject defeat by a perfectly ordinary League One side and before having to taking credit for the demise of a perfectly good side who before had been challenging for promotion to their highest league place yet.

Allegedly.

Easy squeezy.

hang on a minute everyone - the guy built a side which achieved a record-equalling total of home League wins in a season, and his efforts got us out of League One at the first attempt

Disqualified, I'm afraid parmo. Your effort has no gaps in it
