From the Sheffield Star:

Sydney FC coach Branko Culina has warned Sheffield Wednesday target David Carney that playing in the Championship could jeopardise his international career for Australia before the 2010 World Cup.
"There's all talk about going overseas but you've got to be careful," Culina said

"Unless you go to a big club, why risk the position that you're in already?

"You can't hope to be selected for Australia if you're playing in an ordinary team.

"At least go to a decent club where you are going to get a run.

"Somewhere you will be noticed rather than going to the security of a smaller club where you're going to struggle for not only recognition but struggle to make a living."

Do you mean Hillsborough? Think that's fine now, pitch has been relaid and all that. Don't think the weather is meant to be too bad in Sheffield but you never know do you.

I'm more worried about another ground. Dunno if any of you lot are into cricket but I'm from Worcestershire and our New Road ground is currently 12 foot below the River Severn!

How's things up your way? I registered for this place ages ago but only just got round to checking in!

Hope I'm welcome. sctatchinghead

it will be difficult to see what's going on during any cricket match, when all you can see is the tops of the snorkels sticking out of the water. I suppose you can tell by which way the snorkels are moving what's just happened, like.
Four!!!!

No problems if you stick to the motorway routes. The only problem is peolple slowing down to gawp at the floods. The minor roads are more of a problem.
