Apparently they were going to invest in Pools but heard Horden and Snowy had already called dibs on being lottery winning investors.

They seem like very nice people that are going to use the money for a lot of good but surely they are a bit too sensible and without wanting to be unkind, boring, to win such a radged amount of cash. A hug and a cup of tea?

I hope at the very least the bloke goes on some midlife crisis Vegas jaunt full of charlie and prossies were he blows a few million. I’m not asking for a full Mikey Carroll turn your back garden into quad bike track and waste every penny scenario here. Maybe the lady could become addicted to QVC and Online Bingo? Clubhouses that could benefit the whole community? This is not what the lottery is all about.

We can only hope they remember the Irish legends that's appeared for Pools such as Brian and Barry Murphy, Willie Bolland, the one and only Dennis Behan and since they're Northern Irish we also had Trevor Carson, Ryan Brobbel and Liam Donnelly.

Only with their investment can we continue to provide a platform for such talent.

I have to say , each to their own, but moving to Croydon and studying for a PHD wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my bucket list, with £115 million burning a whole in my pocket.
