really showing his weakness today. Even if he punches it then get something on a cross that is just above your head height a yard from your goal

But why were Pools 'deafening' the six yard box?
Did they shout at the six yard box and what purpose does deafening an area of grass on the pitch do?

Can't understand all this negativity about Loach

Best keep in this league ! We'd have been relegated without him last year .

Budtz and Arran Lee Barrett . They were truly crap !,

The thing is though that with the system we are playing there will be a lot of crosses coming into the box, so we need Loach to be more dominant

He has his weaknesses, that's why he's at Pools. We could do so much worse and he has to be among the best at this level.

I do not understand how Loach can be singled out for criticism when it would be difficult to replace him with someone better. The aim of the game is to score goals and we have scored six in five games. Unless one thinks that success can be achieved by a large number of 1-0 wins, I would recommend concentrating on what is happening up front and leave Loach alone.

The aim of Loaches game is not to score goals, it's to stop goals. That includes coming off your line and cutting out crosses.
He's good the other bits though.

In most games Scott Loach makes 3 or 4 good saves that remind fans what a great shot stopper he is. He didn't get the chance to do that yesterday - the main threat from Maidenhead was bombing high balls into the box, which Loach struggled with, so it's fair to say he had a poor game.

Turnbull did some good work back end of last season getting him to come out more for crosses - same again please.

Most keepers have a flaw, especially at this level, that is his. Unless he is on a good wage for this division , I agree, I doubt we could get MANY better. He does seem to be out of form though, regardless of the problem coming off his line, distribution improved yesterday though.

Loach is a top keeper. Why the negativity? Bloomin eck, the tables looking decent early doors, so why ..just why try to make Loach drop his head? Unbelievable Jeff?

The point that I have been droning on about is illustrated today: Daggers 1-2 Pools.
I doubt that anyone will be moaning about our defence because we scored two goals.
Had we lost 1-0 or drawn 1-1, Loach and the defence get slated. This season we have only conceded more than one goal on one occasion, the 2-2 draw with Harrogate. If we could go through a season conceding one goal per match we would win promotion back to the EFL provided the goal scorers do their job. So far today's game is the first time that they have! Pools' weakness so far is up front, not at the back.

I bet people wouldn't be sick off him if we didn't have him in my opinion he's one off the best keepers at this level he can get into a league 2 team if you ask me, I'm sure he got called up into the england senior squad once to correct me if I'm wrong, He must have something about him if he can get called into the england squad, He might not control his six yard box but hes a excellent shot stopper and I think without his saves last season and woodsy goals from midfield we would be playing in the northern league this season.

Difference today with Loach was Cattrick was on bench. So he showed alot more commitment in crosses.
When no keep on bench, he under pressure not to fuck up as could leave us with a -10 goal difference.

I think the reason is more likely because he had shreddies for breakfast.

Either that or because the coach driver wore green socks so Loach found inspiration from that.

Loach isn't perfect , but this is the National League not the Premier. Poor keepers often concede 3 goals in a game, until Loach does, then I don't think anyone can really complain. Its not pretty at times, but he usually gets there in the end , + we always have Donaldson tracking back to bail him out.

So WHO THE FUCK WOULD PLAY IN GOAL IF RED FUCKING CARD or FUCKING GETS AN INJURY IN FUCKING WARM UP. If you have no back up keeper on the Fucking Bench you 'lovely lovely person'.

Not saying he's a bad keeper, saying Braintree, Maidenhead was playing like a pussy as no fucking back up for him. So as Cattrick back on the bench he playes better.

Takes a Doyle #andyouarethickasfuck to know one.

How often does a sub keeper come on? Once maybe every couple of seasons? With 7 subs in the League you’ll always have one but with only 5 at our you can see why most teams don’t bother.

I somehow doubt Loach intentionally ‘played like a pussy’ or subconsciously didn’t bother coming for crosses because a young kid wasn’t on the bench. With all due respect that’s fairly mental. Maybe Loach has a slight knock which why Catterick was sub.

Catterick was only on the bench because Williams pulled out through illness!

As horden points out we are in the NL and by the standards of non league football Loach is a very good player.
When Davies plays with Magnay, we have enough defensive aerial power to minimise the need for Loach to cut out crosses as they did at Maidstone. We need Davies back in central defence!
