Realised today why I don't buy it. There was some going free at a work buffet which had already been sliced so I jumped straight in.

First of all it's full of twatty little pips studded throughout the meat, not like in a honeydew where they're all conveniently contained in a central seam.

Secondly, when you bite into a slice, the mouthfeel is like a snowball full of grit.

Also, it kind of 'bursts' in your mouth when you chomp on it and it runs all over your hands.

It tastes nice and it looks all pink and appealing, but I think they're better off in cartoon form on gamblie reels.

I'm going to stick with pineapples and mangoes as my exotic fruit of choice.

Fully agree Mr Nottingham. Lectoure and Sharon Tate melons are both way better - no pips, more flavour, no strange texture. Stay away from the pink fuckers.

Also have to mention avocados - cost a fortune, hardly ever just right, slimy even when they are, and a right piss on to peel and stone. An evil food if ever there was one.

That's why I'm glad I'm allergic to fruit. Horrible buggers.

If only it was that easy - it would put a lot of cosmetic surgeons out of business.

All green watermelon has less pips than the stiped ones.

I've got better things to be doing with my time. Pissing about with inconvenient fruit isn't one of them.
